My friend lost her black hiking pant with driver license in it on 9/24 afternoon. Anyone saw it can u please contact me? Thanks! Very scenery and beautiful, saw a moose on the way back around 4:30pm Hello Hikers - I left/dropped my black hiking pants (xs) while coming down the lake Solitude ...between couple of miles down the lake. Around the area with rocks. I have a NY state driving license in my side pocket on the right hand side. Can you please call me at 646-851-8328 or return it to the ranger office in the park if you find it. I am out is state and need my license to drive and fly back. Thanks.

Awesome trail but be warned to make noise or have bear spray at the ready when coming into the canyon. Had a grizzly cub come across our trail running full speed 10 feet in front of us. We didn’t want to meet mama so we’ll make it to the top another day.

We decided to start from the Rockefeller preserve and come up on the south end of the lake. It’s about 1.5 miles to the lake then another 1.5 to the jumping rock. 10 minutes into the hike, a black bear crossed the trail about 15 yards in front of us. It’s nice and shaded most of the way. We actually did this hike twice. The first time we weren’t going to jump in, but when we got there we decided we wanted to, so we came back the next day and did it. The views are amazing and jumping off the rock is so hard. It’s about a 30 foot drop into freezing water. On the way back we heard 2 bull elk bugling, then one topped the hill we were coming up on. Further down the trail, a mama moose and baby were on the trail so we had to wait for them to move. After leaving the preserve, we saw 2 more bear and about 4 more moose. it isn’t a hard hike and you definitely get to see a lot of wildlife if you go in the later afternoon

HikingGreat!

Did this hike on 24 September, and the weather was great! The trail is easy to follow and well marked. I think this trail is much better then the Taggart/Bradley Loop trail as there are more scenic views on this trail. I did the loop counter clockwise. Total distance according to my Garmin Oregon 600 was 7.15 miles.

Well marked, up hill all the way, but never too steep. Lake was gorgeous. There’s also a little trail to one of the peaks over it, which is worth scrambling up for a good view of the valley if you’re steady on your hands/ feet.

Great trail but the addition of Bradley lake was unnecessary. Saw a huge moose! Pretty lake views with the Tetons in the background.

For a first time hiker, this was a fun challenge. We started at 7 am when the temp was still cool enough for an enjoyable hike. You can see Inspiration Point and Hidden Falls on this hike too!

Great trail- he’s ily trafficked till the point but then thins out unless rumors of animal spotting a happen and then it stays crowded. We went early and took Jenny lake trail rather than wait for the boat to open.

Started it out before sunrise and I was the second one up there. Absolutely breath taking views on the way up. Trail is not marked but very easy to locate, just pay close attention to where the trail continues after the rocks. It is heavily trafficked by noon-ish so I found my way back easier because of everyone going up. It gets very steep towards the end, and going down was not easier so be prepared. So worth it though, absolute great hike!

We have been hiking Grand Teton for 25 years. We have passed the previously poorly marked cutoff to Delta Lake on our way up to Surprise and Amphitheater Lakes many many times. Now, the cutoff and trail is marked much better reflecting the hike’s increasing popularity. The hike up to Delta Lake after the cutoff for approximately the last mile is a very difficult, steep and rough trail. The lake at the end is a worthwhile award and the best and closest view of the Grand Teton you can get, in my opinion, unless you want to climb it (which I have done). The lake is just below the Teton Glacier terminal moraine and is a beautiful glacial flour color of light blue. If you are going to do this hike, and you are from Texas like us, make sure you are steeled for a bit of suffering, prepared to do some scrambling and have really good hiking shoes. It is not a hike to take lightly but is absolutely beautiful in the end!

I'd like to start this from Teton Canyon to Jenny Lake. Anyone interested in going the opposite way and swapping cars and then meeting up in Victor, Wilson, or Jackson for a bite/drink to celebrate and give back cars? If interested, please call/text me at 786-863-7006. Looking to do this on Saturday (9/26) or Sunday (9/27).

This trail represents 2020. The first part was all fun in games, lighthearted when we all were scrambling for toilet paper and sanitizer. January thru March) Then it became more serious, steep with 6 hard switchbacks that felt like forever (march thru April) and then we made it the homestretch a mile rock climbing and straight up hill! (April thru September) and then you finally reach the Delta Lake which is spectacular! Definitely worth the hike/climb up! It was roughly 3000 elevation gain one way. The way down was a breeze! Hopefully the view will represent the upcoming months!

The lake is especially beautiful and reflective early in the morning, which is also the best time to avoid the crowds and a parking lot that fills up quickly.
