HikingGreat!

Did this hike on 24 September, and the weather was great! The trail is easy to follow and well marked. I think this trail is much better then the Taggart/Bradley Loop trail as there are more scenic views on this trail. I did the loop counter clockwise. Total distance according to my Garmin Oregon 600 was 7.15 miles.

HikingGreat!

This trail (9/23) was so magical, especially with the colorful autumn leaves everywhere! I also did Surprise and Amphitheater first, which I would definitely recommend, as it’s super well maintained and while it’s a consistent climb it’s pretty basic, and because then at the end you’re like, oh it’s only another half mile to Delta… lol it’s a half mile climbing rocks but at that point you just go for it. And Delta is UNMISSABLE. Be careful to watch for the turnoff to the right down “stairs,” as there is NO trail marker (hats off to Wyoming for keeping some secrets, we don’t do that much in Colorado where I live ::clap::). If you’re hesitating bc of the smoke, don’t, it doesn’t affect things too much bc you’re IN the mtns. Go now! The colors are insanely red, orange and yellow.

Absolutely stunning views in both directions, and a chance to really test your resolve in the last mile or so.

Rated hard but after the first part (depending on which way you go up), the canyon is pretty flat. Some elevation gain towards the end but not unreasonable. Overall long day hike.

We did the hike from Two Ocean Lake. Trail was flat, but very narrow. Views were hazy due to the fires.

Awesome trail with the bulk of the elevation work up front as long as you turn right when you begin the loop. Not sure what is the source of truth in regard to elevation but my Apple Watch recorded the elevation change to be 917. A super chill day hanging around two lakes. Make sure to find your way down to the lake Bradley shoreline as it is not readily accessible but very beautiful and peaceful.

I did this trail today and it was everything I expected it to be! Beautiful forestry areas, meadows and epic lake views! Lake Taggert was by far the better of the 2. We had a super calm day. So the mirror effect on the lake was amazing. This was definitely worth the 2500 miles i traveled :)

I got about 6.5 miles in, and that's where the cleanup for the avalanches/treefall stopped and the keeping the trail seemed both hopeless and too much of a pain. Trail was good up to there. Would recommend going up the trail to static pass for better views and a trail that isn't cut short, but also be careful there as there are treefalls at the start that haven't been maintained that can put you on the wrong trail

Not really sure why there’s so much hype about this trail. The view at Hermitage Point was good but it’s a loooong walk through the forest to get there and back which to us didn’t seem worth it.

Great loop around the lake. North west side has large boulder people had been jumping the 30 feet into the water. Deep enough if you get out just a little bit.

This trail is great for planning an easy afternoon. We had drove to the park the day we hiked this and didn’t want to lose the whole day. This was less grueling but still totally beautiful. Once we passed the water, we didn’t see anyone. Some of my favorite pictures that we took of the park were from this trail.
