Devils Tower, An Evocative Setting For Many Types Of Experiences And Forms Of Expression A geologic feature protrudes out of the rolling prairie that surrounds the Black Hills. The site is considered Sacred to the Lakota and other tribes that have a connection to the area. Hundreds of parallel cracks make it one of the finest traditional crack climbing areas in North America. Devils Tower entices us to explore and define our place in the natural and cultural world.

This trail provided breathtaking views of both Devil's Tower and the surrounding valley. It features rocky areas, foliage, and a moderate amount of shade.

Nice views of the tower and really pretty red rocks.

Trail was great - wonderfully maintained but very popular. Climbed the rocks to the yellow line (had this been on the trail, it would be 5 stars) as allowable for park visitors. Great views.

We weren't planning to do this trail as we did the one further out but I am so glad we did. Must see huge boulders and prayer cloths. Plus this gives better look at climbers.

We did this trail with the valley trail and together they were so fun! Don't miss prairie dogs on the other trail.

Excellent views! The hike was perfect for 11 and 8 year old. Loved prairie dog town.

It's an awesome trail, but it's at least slightly moderate. We've done easy trails, this is not that easy.

Fantastic views of the tower and surrounding wilderness.
