This was our first family backpacking trip so I didn't want to plan anything too long for the kids. Hiked up to Glimpse lake in early August. Beautiful weather and no mosquitos. Only saw a few other people. Fishing was lousy at Glimpse, but watching the moose was great. Caught brookies on a day hike to Prospector. Beautiful scenery.

Nice moderate hike! Some ups and downs but nothing too difficult. Ends with a beautiful lake and great views throughout.

Great trail and scenery but leave fishing poles in car. The lake has drained out bone dry.

New favorite place to disappear and run! So many wildflowers, shady spots along the creek, and the majority of it is perfect for running. A few narrow spots and short inclines, otherwise easy and flat.

Great hike with good flow and nice scenery. The first part is a bit steep and narrow, but it flattens out after that. It's great for kids, pets, and the less experienced. With a fast pace it can make for a good cardio workout.

Really easy, short hike. Shaded. If you go mid-summer in the summer the lake is full and a beautiful turquoise color. Later or earlier in the year, it isn't full or it drys up.

Billy goated that bitch. Lost trail little over a half mile in. Steep and unmaintained. Lots of cows. Never made it to the end.

Backpacked in and spent the night on the far side of the lake. Great fishing. Was with 3 others and caught a collective 20+ nice sized cutthroat and one Brooke trout. Nice rope swing if you are the adventurous type! Trail was rather rough due to horses using the trail when it was wet. Overall an enjoyable trip.

Mountain bike - huzzah!

Got lost twice on this uncrowded and poorly marked trail. Make sure you have a good trail guide when you start out. There are some great views of the Tetons, but other than that, it's mostly hiking through forest and meadow terrain. We were warned about an "aggressive grizzly" near the pasture, so bear spray is a must.

Where we set up for the night, had a AMAZING veiw of the Grand Tetons! Easily one of the best places I've ever set up a tent.

We rented an atv for the day and this is where they sent us. Beautiful views.

Backpacked in to Bailey Lake and camped for two nights. Trail head is found by traveling from Alpine WY up the Greys River Road to the Little Greys turn off. Travel to McCain Meadow and then to the trail head which is just prior to waterdog lake where the road ends. Saw deer, moose (early am, and during the night), eagle, osprey, ducks and ducklings, muskrat, and many wild flowers. Caught fish for lunch which always beats packed in foods!

horseback riding

Grizzly Lake is a beautiful trail, accessible to hikers and horseback riders. Also a fun place to fish or swim if it's warm enough. Plenty of wildflowers in early summer, and the aspens are nice in fall. There has been some recent trail maintenance, so not as muddy as it used to be. Just watch out for cattle in the meadows, and make sure to give the bull plenty of space!

Great moderate mountain bike trail on the shady side of cache creek. Ride it out and back or connect to putt putt. Never dusty!

The trail to the hot springs is just that. If you want more of a hike go to the Hot Springs and take the trail head to the North. There are several Trail Heads along the road up to the Camping areas. Most of them are for horses, but that is how a lot of the trails started.

The falls and hot springs are great, but the trail is basically a hike on the other side of the creek from the road. Also it is heavily used by horses. Do yourself a favor and drive to the hot springs and then hike up the granite trail instead.

Awesome trail, nice fun switchbacks with tight brims. Described to me once as a rollercoaster ride. Had a blast on it.

It's the easy route when hiking Snow King. It's ok if you are taking someone who hasn't hiked Snow King or is just getting into the hobby. Other than that, I avoid it.
