After hiking Mt Rushmore and Devils Tower, both of which don't allow pets, this is a great hike for those with pets. My lab/shepherd mix enjoyed the exercise. Views are OK, you are in a forest, but there are enough breaks in the trees to see the valleys below. Did not run into anyone else on the trail which made it very peaceful.

Easy and is never busy. Great day hike!

on Sundance Trail

This trail was well worth it, had to carry water in starting from Sundance trailhead. Tent canyon was very nice and the trail was maintained nicely.

The group I was with took a risk by going in March, and we woke up in straight line winds and snow drifts. Was a good adrenaline experience, wish we had time to hike more.

We had a beautiful morning on this trail. Good for adults, teenagers, clear down to 5 years. Very quiet and serine. There are Black Bear in the area, we just missed one on our hike. Carry bear spray. Early morning is the best time for wildlife. Cook Lake has very nice camp sites below the trail.
