Trail completely snow free. I hiked it with my dog and it was an easy hike, hardest part is the very last bit where it's all rocks on the path to lookout tower. The views are fantastic. It was 80F when I left for the trail, 66F at trail head and 58F at the top with a mostly sunny day. I parked about 1/2 mile from TH as fire road 222 was fairly rutted not far from 2nd creek crossing. I could have made it easy in 4x4 but didn't want to do more damage to the road. As I hiked in the rutted part was only couple hundred yards, after that it would be an easy drive to TH.

This was a great short hike with a big pay off at the end. The views are fantastic! This trail was great for the kids (6 & 7) because it wasn’t long, but had many things to keep them interested...especially the building (look out) at the top. The trail was in great shape and there were lots of places to stop for a break along the way...so even though it’s considered moderate it is accessible for the beginner. Enjoy!

This was a neat trail, but I would definitely not consider it easy. It would be in the moderate category. Most of the trail was very rocky and there is a pretty steady, long incline right at the beginning. We didn’t end up going to the second lake...we had our 6 & 7 year old with us and the mosquitoes were getting a bit bad. We ran into a few other groups, but for the most part had this trail to ourselves for the majority of the time. The trail is well marked. Bring lots of bug spray and really good hiking shoes with ankle support (those rocks could twist an ankle pretty easy).

Great trail. One day out and back on July 11, 2019. Two minor creek crossings that were easy with extra shoes. The trail out & back is more like 12-13 miles depending on how much you get off of it to explore. This trail has it all: forest, lakes, creeks, waterfalls, elevation, plenty of water to filter, great views, good fishing, easy to follow trail, and very few people! Check out a video of the hike on YouTube at Nolan Ventures.

https://youtu.be/gQvxvLpdAfM Attached is our documented hike to Mirror Lake and additionally beyond to Lost Twin Lakes on YouTube channel Nolan Ventures. Great trail, brought extra shoes which made creeks very crossable, spectacular views all the way to Lost Twin Lakes, totally approx. 12.5 miles round trip.

The trail was excellent- lake was still frozen- got off trail at the top because of the snow- we camped at the lake and no one else was there!! Well worth it

This trail is moderate in difficulty. The round trip hike from the parking lot at West Tensleep Trail Head to Mirror Lake was 8.65 miles. It took us 3 hours and 45 minutes to get to Mirror Lake and 2 hours and 25 minutes to hike back. The wildflowers are in bloom or near blooming. There are four creeks to cross. Most were simple to cross and required walking on rocks to cross. The second to last creek is currently high near Mirror Lake - the path is covered by water. It is crossable with water shoes. Recommend bug spray as there are lots of mosquitos. We hiked with 3 dogs on leash - bring your dogs they will love it!

My partner and I did 13 miles of this trail yesterday. It looks like the peak is still quite snowy but the portion we did was beautiful. We saw moose and marmots. Be mindful that there is a stream crossing that was a bit strong but manageable and you will absolutely need insect repellant.

Awesome trail and still lots of water coming down falls. Road into parking lot for the falls off FS11 was rough and for lower clearance vehicles make travel difficult. There is another parking spot near turn off.

Great trail, it is closer to 2.6 miles rather then the 2 miles on the sign at beginning of trail. Make sure you download the map for use as there is no phone reception at the start. Was able to see elk on the ridge to the north of the falls

Beautiful and green. Trail well maintained, and I walked it in sandals. No snow.

Arduous hike, but liked the remoteness and lack of people.

Trail is dry and with the heavy snow pack this past winter, the falls are super with all the water coming down.

The trail was on an ATV road. It would have been a lot of fun with a little 4 Wheeler. The views were beautiful, and the sterams were running pretty steady with snowmelt. I rate this only ok, because it wasn't a hiking trail as much as a ATV road

This was an easy and pretty walk. The trail is easy to follow and the water was roaring after so much rain this season. The trailhead is off the lower parking lot.

Did this last weekend and was the first time on top without wind.

Directions: Follow parking loop around to the far side and watch for the trail sign at a smaller parking pullout. The start of the AllTrails map was off from the actual start. This path had a few fallen trees that were hard to pass, and some of the trail to get closer to the waterfall is moderate. This was a really beautiful hike and the waterfall at the end was amazing.
