Amazing trail, the views are second to none, just see the photos. This trails engages all 3 senses. Alongside the amazing views, there is the sound of the Tongue river rapids the whole way and the vegetation gives off lovely smells. We started the trail 1.ilea from the trail head where the road narrows because it was not possible to drive an RV closer, but this nicely extended the trail to about 11km up and back. Not to be missed.

Good trail, but hampered by the mist! Start and finish are the toughest. 2hrs 35minutes all told with a little picnic stop. Rainy lake genuinely does appear to rain in the vicinity of the lake

Fairly easy trail it took me and my four year old around a hour and a half to make it from the overlook back to the truck. Good way to kill a day

First time, had a blast!

I loved this trail! It was a perfect hike. If I didn’t stop and take so many photos I’m sure it would have only been an hour and a half hike. I saw some rock climbers on my way through. As you’re hiking up don’t forget to look back every once in a while. The views are beautiful. However I’m not sure if this is a western thing or not but there was no clear marking to the end of the trail. I kept going past the marker that the app used and I stopped at a meadow at the top

got lost as fuck, don’t go unless you have a 4-wheel drive car.. there is barely any signs you’re going the right way.. walked mostly in muddy trails but saw a moose which was the highlight, we meant to go to porcupine falls but ended up going here 5 miles later... i don’t recommend if you’re not prepared and you absolutely have no fucking idea about directions or how to hike.. really sketchy and hard to stay on track

Absolutely relaxation. Beautiful walk

Love think hole! Mostly up hill but a wonderful view!

It was a good hike. There was snow and I lost the trail. Eventually crossed a road and down a hill to Bucking Mule Creek. After realizing my mistake, I had to hurry to get to the overlook and back to the parking lot. I saw deer and elk on this walk.

Nice hiking

Good memories.

Really hard trail but the views are worth it!

Beautiful canyon, easy to follow trail, shady trailhead with pit toilets. Lots of poison oak along the trail, watch out.

A nice walk, even for flatlanders.

Views were amazing! Should have brought fishing gear, maybe next time. Saw a moose and lots of birds. Everyone was exhausted at the end - no complaints though, well worth the effort!

Took us 3 hours to reach Lost Twin Lakes (2 fit adults, only a few short breaks) And 2 hr 15 minutes to get back. My GPS said 6.25 miles from trailhead to the top. We passed maybe 4 other groups while hiking. Beautiful hike! A few challenging parts. Mostly at the very end. Bring bug spray! Lots of mosquitoes.

About 5 miles round trip from the TH to the Overlook. You do have the option to extend this into a longer hike (I think it's 14.5 miles one way). There is a trail sign with mileage just before the overlook area. Easy hike with great view of Bucking Mule Falls / Devil's Canyon area. Don't forget Porcupine Falls while your in the area !

Great hike! View from the top is great even though you don't get very close to the falls.

Amazing hike to Lost Twin Lakes! We packed in and stayed the night lakeside after a moderate day of hiking. Mirror Lake continued to allude us both ways, not an obvious stop on the trail. Overall a great overnight one day backpack, but be sure to bring bug spray the mosquitoes were bad at the beginning of July!

Totally cool. Beautiful craggy rocks. Well maintained trail. Some wet spots due to snow melt. The top is spectacular. Look for the little outhouse for two near the top of the trail. Secluded - a great spot to get away from it all. Loved the wildflowers!

It is well worth doing.

It is a great, easy hike along a relatively flat surface compared to the other hikes in the area.

Amazing scenery!

Great hike, just a short trip though. Worth the effort.

just did this trail today, we drove up as far as the Black Mountain sign. From there it is approximately 1 mile up hill all the way. Lots of rocks on the trail and the last part going up to the look out required a little rock climbing. Beautiful views at the end.

Nice tree lined hike with cute little meadows and flowers along. Amazing views from the peak, well worth the last distance that does get slightly difficult due to steep and rocky. Need a 4x4 to get up 222 to the trailhead so we just hiked the 1 mi. road.

Well traveled trail with excellent fishing along the way. Easily hiked with young children to Mirror Lake.

Very nice one night backpack !!

Not much to see until you reach the top, but when you do it sure is worth it. Trail is actually only a mile out and a mile back if you actually park at the trail head, but the FR 222 is pretty washed out so you may want to walk from where FR 16 and FR 222 meet if you don't have fourwheel drive and good ground clearance. All in a it was a nice quick hike. Fairly steep, but not incredibly difficult. Recommend to go on a warm and not so windy day.

Make sure you take plenty of bug spray, the mosquitoes were horrible over at mirror Lake!! Great fishing as well!!
