Located in the Superior Municipal Forest running from Elmira Avenue to Billings Drive this is a flat, 10-foot wide, out and back blacktop trail. There is ample parking available at the Superior Municipal Forest trail head at 28th Street/Wyoming Avenue. There is also a small parking area off Billings Drive, so you can start at either end of the trail. 1.6 Miles of the trail are strictly trail with the last section following shoulder lanes along Billings Drive.Show more

The trail falls within a designated State Natural Area valued for its unique biological resources & boreal forest. This trail is primarily used in the winter months for cross country skiing out to Dwight's Point (primitive camping available). Please be aware of the initial connecting trail being a shared use motorized trail leading from the trailhead at the 42nd Street Archery Range to the Ski Trail Gate. Show more

Branching off of the loop is the Cedar Point Overlook where the trail follows a sharp ridgeline out to some spectacular views of the bay.
