This hike was beautiful. Not too strenuous but beautiful and varied scenery. I didn’t see anyone else the entire four hours I did the trail. I did both the 2 1/2 mile hike as well as the 2 mile nature walk. Highly recommend actually climbing up the Pine Cliff that you will see about halfway through the nature walk right by the lake. It is off the trail a bit but if you climb up the big boulder you’ll be on a beautiful cliff in the middle of a pine forest.

Best in fall, so you can get a clear view of lakes, but summertime makes everything extra green! Bring bug spray.

Love this hike. The beginning is beautiful! After the cliff it's 3 stars.

A pleasant 2.5 mile loop if you turn north at the dam. Plenty of stairs near the beginning. stay left at the junction to explore the rocks and cliff area, then down to.the lake. Moderate climb back up from the dam.
