Newport, northeast of Ellison Bay, is Wisconsins only formally designated wilderness park. With 2,373 acres and 11 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline it offers quiet alternatives to bustling Door County.

Such amazing deep greens and rock formations. It was very quiet when we visited and we felt as if we had the park to ourselves

Have camped at Site 12, 14 & 15 so far. All have their unique charm. Love this place. Well kept trails & sites. Clean pit toilets. Lots of trails to hike and nooks to explore.

Nice trail with great views of Lake Michigan. I first ran these trails at age 16 while on a camping trip. Lots of shade, lots of tree roots so watch your step!
