The under 2-mile purple loop is relaxing and easy. Lots of benches along the way.

Nordic trail loops offer many options for length and difficulty, up to 9.2 miles...all options are well marked and very scenic. Best enjoyed during off peak times as it is quite heavily used on weekends. These trails are NOT OPEN to hikers when snow covered.

March 2018 Hike. Not much color because of the season, but a very nice hike. Lots to see with some history, lots of springs, and relatively flat easy hike.

Really enjoy night hiking this trail. It’s vet peaceful. Brown loop is perfect for taking my 7 year old daughter.

Great spot for photography.

Easy trail. Beautiful with the snow.

Green Loops is nice and well maintained. Arrived at around 9am on a Saturday and didn't encounter anyone on the trail until we arrived at the beginning of the observation loop. I'd say it is a nice relaxing loop with a couple of easy hills to keep the blood pumping. although the green loop is lightly traffic you never got the feeling you were out on your own since portions of it are lined with camp grounds.

Great mostly wooded trail. Many switchbacks with some rather steep areas. I would rate if difficult for a Wisconsin trail. i did the green loop. Orange loop bypasses the most difficult part of the green loop. nice overlook about halfway through the trail.

Clearly marked. Try to do some of the blue trail for lots of trail lined with pine trees.

Purple loop. Then red loop. Clear markings. Wide trails.

Followed green. Nice easy trail. Some areas with lots of small rocks. Ankle breakers if not careful. Would do again.

nice wide trails. I use these trails for great trail running! also very nice for hiking. It's very quite don't see many people at all on weekdays and goes miles deep into the Kettle Moraine forest. Lots of ups and downs. pretty well maintained. There is a pretty big parking lot. The amenities are nice with bathrooms and water.

Hiked the green trail. Some rain erosion but otherwise the trail is in good shape.

Mountain biker's gem. Just beware of the ridiculous amount of skeeters, no-see-ems and poison ivy. Don't be afraid to send it this fall!

we did the green trail heading CCW until we got to the outlook split and visited the outlook point. the point is not much to tell but the two dead trees at the point make it perfect platform for a hammock to take a nice break. here we made a plan to deviate from the standard trail, we headed back until we caught the junction with the Ice Age Trail and hopped on it to return to the parking lot. best part of our hike hands down; it is a beautiful section and it was a great finish. this part makes the 5 star rating for me

We really like the trail. Unfortunately the DNR has not maintained the trail this summer! The trail has not been mowed all summer making the trial and benches virtually unusable. All they have to do is mow the trails and it would be 5 stars!

The 9 mile blue loop is excellent - lots of undulating hills with some challenging climbs in the black rated section of 1-2 miles. Great for trail running.

I hiked the blue trail on 4/25/17.
Nice rolling trail through pine forest.
I gave it a three because of the ignorant people with dogs. Even before I hit the trail there were two couples with dogs in the parking lot and only one was on a lead. Evidence of dogs was left on the trail by lazy owner and I know the difference between wild animal crap and domestic.
Saw dogs off the lead on the trail and upon my return to the parking lot.
Blue is five miles. Trail head has clean restroom pit toilets .

Hiked the Blue until Marker 7 then followed Green, didtsnve of 7.5 miles. Wide trail. clear and large plantation pine setting. Plenty of long sloping hills for a total gain of 800 feet in the 7.5 miles.
We'll marked.
Trail head with plenty of parking, clean to let's. water and picnic tables.

I love this trail, lots of hills.

Woods kind of make me feel claustrophobic because of the narrow paths and sensation of going in circles since this is a mountain biking trail is prevalent. Also I think I saw an emu in these woods so this section kind of frightens me.

One of my new favorite hikes with in 45 min of Milwaukee. Challenging for Wisconsin hiking, but not too difficult. There are camping spots along the trail and a look out loop around half way of the green loop. I thought everything was well marked. I will be back for some snowshoeing.
