Day after Road America running double sessions with MotoVid. Tired and felt blah all day at work. Tiring hike, but glad I did it. Off to home for early bed time.

awesome. nice rolling trail. A few rocks and lots of trees. We had very few bugs. We went at noon on Labor day. It was nice and cool. We loved it.

Gorgeous, well maintained and clean. There was a lot of bike traffic but they were all super respectful. Great day!

Took the day off work so the trail was really quiet. By noon I’d encountered a few people on mountain bikes but it wasn’t bad at all. The trail was easy to follow and not over grown. It’s almost entirely in the trees so the only real spectacular view is at the C3 marker overlooking the valley. Lots of elevation change and a narrow tree lined trail makes this a beautiful day hike.

Couldn’t have asked for a better hike for the pup and I. Perfect weather. The woods broke up some pretty hefty wind gusts (20-30mph) while providing a very unique soundtrack ... not to mention keeping any and all bugs at bay.

The switchbacks in the middle hilly section of this trail are so fun! This is a great segment of the Ice Age Trail!

Almost nobody out here today. Just enough hills to get that burn. Slightly buggy, but I didn’t need to reapply bug spray. A really nice little hike.

BackpackingGreat!

Did this trail a while ago and has been my nemesis. Started this when beginning to hike and backpack. The hills for some reason got to me. Challenging to some extent but I think I can do it without issues today.

HikingGreat!

We started this hike from the access point on CTH-C and walked south. We did the first 3 miles over a mostly forested, shaded path. The beginning is over private farm land until you arrive at the forest. The trail itself is extremely well marked, smaller in sections. We only saw 6 people in the 6 miles (3 out, 3 back). There is a sign identifying the trail along CTH-C and parking along the shoulder. It is listed as moderate, but we find most of the Ice Age Trail to be at the mid-upper end of easy and this was no exception.
