The Line Kiln trail has historic interpretations of the limb kiln operations of long ago, with amazing trees that are huge, especially along the hike up to the high bank cliffs. We went up Red Bird a bit, which is flat and graveled and very well marked. We double backed and caught the Indian burial mounds and the statue of Red Bird and the observation tier, ending back at our car. The reason for only a 4 is too many people and we could often hear traffic. ,

Aside from the horrible allergy attack i had, i enjoyed this trail. Very easy and kind of short, but there were some great views and it was fun to see the mounds and read the backstory.

Not my favorite part of High Cliff. It’s just a simple loop around a pond. Very easy and i prefer more of a hike. Cant say i’d bother with this particular trail should i head back. Rather hit up the Lime Kiln or Burial Mound.

Nice walk through the woods. Pretty trail plus you can finish with an ice cream from the Cubby Seagull right near it.

Nice trail but not clearly marked.

Nice trail but part of it is the shoulder of a road so be aware and keep little ones near.

Nice shaded trail. You need to be alert and watch out for all the tree roots.

A short off-the-beaten-path trail in the woods along the lake that leads up to the cliffs. Great scenery but can be very muddy. Be prepared for some uphill treks.

Very nice trail, muddy and slippery after rains. Nice lake views. My 6 year old handled it quite well, taking care around the steep dropoffs. We had to cut straight past the kilns back to the parking (it's a little long to loop back for a 6 year old so it cuts it down to about 3 miles)

A nice walk, my dog loves it, a few areas of muddiness or horse poop. Also like that there’s a few “off trail” paths that lead to a nice view :)

Overall a nice trail, like others have mentioned not overly difficult. We added a few other trails to lengthen our hike. My only complaint was the trails were not marked very well, at times it was hard to tell where you were going.

As the red bird trail is not on this site, I'm basing my review on this hike and the redbird trail. I enjoyed this trail and it wasn't too challenging but perfect for a hike with my girlfriend. Great scenery and well maintained, wish I had time to do the other trails here.

Overall, it was a pretty trail with some nice views. Not too challenging, but due to its location near the bottom of the hill closer to the water, it’s VERY muddy. So come prepared for that!

Nice trail. Some spots were pretty wet and muddy. Make sure you have correct footwear. Very scenic hike. Plenty of people hiking. A number of near by trails to add on the hike. We added a couple to make our hike 7.1 miles. Not a difficult hike.

Nice relaxing trail. Still some boggy areas but no issue to walk around. Almost had the trail to ourselves except for the deer on the back side of the loop. Great hike.
