Description

Chippewa Moraine State Recreation Area is located along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and is one of the nine units of the Ice Age National Scientific Reserve. Chippewa's interpretive visitor center is open Tuesday to Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. It is closed on Mondays. There is much to see and do at Chippewa Moraine State Park. Check out the beautiful kettle lakes and glacial features which hosts a multitude of flora and fauna. Go hiking on the Ice Age Trail which goes through the Chippewa Moraine or picnicking outside the interpretive center. Here you can also go boating, fishing, hunting and even snowshoeing/cross country skiing during the winter.
