Description

Located in Harrison County, this historical state park features the pioneer spirit and heritage of early West Virginia. Watters Smith State Park's buildings, log cabins, and museums portray the pioneer life from 1796 to the early 1900s. The park does not have overnight accommodations however it is open to the public for hiking, picnicking, and biking. Watters Smith is also popular for birdwatching. Make sure to stop by the museum and Smith home which are open on specific days between Memorial and Labor Day.
