As West Virginia's largest state park, Watoga State Park features a multitude of recreational activities which include: hiking, boating, swimming, biking, camping, and fishing. Check out Watoga Lake as it is known for excellent fishing opportunities. Watoga State Park also contains an observation tower, a multipurpose building and museum. Before Watoga was a park, it used to be a state forest dedicated to timber and wildlife preserve and was changed into a state park after World War II. Nowadays, the park is still being improved and more additions are occurring.
