Enjoyed the three mile section from Cairo to the Bonds Creek Tunnel. The picnic are on the other side of the tunnel was a nice pit stop.

Most beautiful view EVER!!!

Excellent trail with moderate elevation gains.

Started in Parkersburg. Only walked approximately 2 miles. Nice easy level trail. Perfect for walkers and joggers.

This trail was so much fun! I recommend it for someone that wants to hike just a few hours. Very pretty & peaceful! I look forward to going back & exploring other trails in this area. .

This trail is really great for just about any kind of outdoors adventure. I prefer hiking, running, or biking for this trail. It's relatively easy as far as difficulty goes, although some parts of the trail may be more difficult for some people. There is so much wildlife along this trail!! You'll run into many birds, animals, and other lil creatures - especially in the warmer months. There are plenty of things to look at around you on this trail. The beginning of the trail, nearest Parkersburg, is really nice in my opinion. There's a huge field where you can see the sun set across the Little Kanawha river although it is close to the highway but the sound of the vehicles isn't distracting from the sounds of surrounding nature. Would recommend 9/10

Great series of trails to get out in the woods. I look forward to visiting again to explore some more of the many many trails that loop back on each other, are clearly marked, and are at worst moderate in difficulty. I recommend saving a PDF of the trail map to your phone from the website because there were no paper copies available when my son and I went. Probably not a bad idea to wear some bright colors during hunting season - we ran into a number of hunters while out on the trails. Overall, it's a great park with a lot of amenities if you want to make a weekend of camping with the family I recommend it. #OptOutside

It was a beautiful day yesterday, but I have no idea why we wanted to ride bikes this far. It was very scenic and followed a lot of water. The tunes were interesting.

I've been biking different parts of this trail since I was a kid. Still one of my favorite places.

Beautiful maintained path.

There are tons more trails than what is shown on this map. It's a system of 30+ miles and I can't wait to keep exploring more of it! There is a great map you can download from their website and the trails are really well marked. Difficulty level is all over the place- something for everyone.

Legendary mountain biking! Lots of technical trails not for the faint of heart. Highly recommend tearing through the Haystack trail. It takes a while to get up to it but once your on the top it makes for some wicked downhill biking. 5/5 can't wait for it to get warmer

Nice smooth ride through some pretty long dark tunnels. You can skip rocks on some of the creeks if you go off the path a little bit. Come here all the time :)

Well-maintained trail! Check out the Silver Run tunnel, it's haunted!

Awesome! Very tiring! The trail ratings are a little off. The easy is moderate. The moderate is difficult, and the hard is ungodly lol. Trails marked very well. Names, difficulty level and length. Went today on 9/5/15 the Saturday of Labor day weekend. First time here. Administration office was closed?! Really? Busiest weekend of the year and it's closed? Very sad. So needless to say we basically rode blind all day after driving 2 1/2 hours away from Huntington WV. Please put some maps out! Hope this info helps! Trails are rooty and rocky. But still awesome if you're a experienced mountain biker!

Small and nice state park. It is very nice for the area with lots to do. I used to camp there as a kid with other Boy Scouts.

The rock climbing is pretty decent with a few places to hit near the wooden cabins. Park at the top past the pool and walk down towards the water water there's a path with several rock faces on the right.

I started biking at the terminus near happy valley road and road for several miles before turning around. It was decent and the trail followed some waterways, went through some residential, some deciduous forest areas, wooden bridges, and under a free way. I passed another biker and a horse rider while out.

If I was going to do it again, I would probably drive out near ellenborro where the tunnels. And have a friend park at the end.

I have hike short bits of this trail several times and find it to be very nice. The tunnels are neat and fun to go through. Also biked on it once as well.

North Bend State Park is a very beautiful park located in a small town in West Virginia. Unless you've lived near there, or lived there yourself, you probably will not know about it.

They have camping, and the lodge is open year round. There is a very nice pool there, and they have quite a few walking trails to enjoy.

I rode the North Bend trail through from the eastern terminus to the western terminus. It is very unkept and run down in the east near Salem, but after it turns into crushed gravel after the longest tunnel, it becomes fairly nice. Riding through the North Bend park was a treat, and the scenery was very cute. It was mid June at the time, and it got very got in the sun around Petroleum where the shade becomes fairly rare. The rest of the trail runs under a canopy of trees most of the time

Certain parts in the way also ran through unpleasant communities so that's something to be cautious about as well.

The camping sites were few and far, but the couple there are we're placed in even grounds.

Don't recommend riding the eastern half.

Marked very well. Trailheads had name, distance, difficulty, and permitted/recommended activities. 5 guys in group with varying experience and all had a blast.

Only managed a small portion of this trail this trip but it was nice enough that we will definitely return and do more of the trail. We rode from Cairo to Ellenburg...maybe about 9 miles. Cairo is a cute little town which actually caters to bicyclers getting on the trail. Ellenburg is just a town that the trail passes through but there is a McDonalds and a Dairy Queen just off the trail! Most of the trail is gravel base and there are several tunnels that serve to cool you off when you ride on a hot day like we did but be cautious...the tunnels are a little bumpy and damp! Some nice views along the way in these foothills of West Virginia!
