The staff in the main building told us that this is the most popular hike in Lost River State Park, and I can see why! We arrived ready for sun and 90 degree weather, but as we got going, we received a downpour of rain instead! The upside was that we had the view at Cranny Crow all to ourselves! The hike was a pretty constant uphill, but mostly pretty gradual. There was a lot of shade along the trail, and the shelter makes a nice spot to stop for a minute. On a nicer day, we might have combined this with some other trails to make a longer hike.
