Lovely. Hardly anyone else on the trail — so very peaceful, too. Definitely check out Debbie’s View (a great spot for lunch/snack and reflection) before heading back.

Good steady pace with moderate inclines.

Awesome hike. Beautiful trails that are very well taken care of and very clearly marked. Would definitely hike this spot again!

Mostly incline, but manageable. Nice tranquil hike, well maintained, well marked, no bathroom facilities. Parking off road.

It’s a nice hike close to town. No viewpoints but nice and wild nature

12/11/2017 (Monday) -- Sunny winter day, dry, chilly in the morning, warm in the afternoon around 45F, especially bask in the sun at Debbie's View. Take this root up to West Peak (rarely visited by hikers) and then to Debbie's View (most popular and most frequently visited place on the Squak Mountain). It got dark very early (around 4pm). A very pleasant trip.

This is a good hike if you are liking solitude without driving forever to get there. Although be warned, the actual parking area for this trailhead is very tricky. There is basically room for one compact car, maybe two if you don’t mind being snug and it is right off of Hwy 900, just beyond the driveway to Pacific Topsoils as you’re headed toward Issaquah. A good year round trail (as are most in this area) to help keep you in shape throughout the offseason.

ok woodsy trail, constant incline on way up but not strenuous. No great views but lovely woods. Light traffic, plenty of parking, well marked.

Well kept trail, easy hike. No view but the fireplace is a milestone anyhow.

It was a wonderful forest-nature walk with little traffic over a sunny Saturday morning. Pathways are wide and easy. I hiked past many joggers and including a runner. The trail is inclined throughout the way up but be careful of the slippery slopes from the moisture because of the vegetation/forest. Also to note, there was no restrooms or trash bins.

9/23/2017 (Saturday) - Sunny morning, cool around 60F. At Debbie's View, we can't see Mt. Rainier because it is wrapped by clouds and the haze. We met a group of Korean hikers from Marysville, and many mountain runners in an event at the Fireplace.

Steady climb the whole way up. Nicely shaded. Fireplace is interesting. No views but the trees are the view. Slow steady hike up and a fast trail run down.

It was a nice walking trail. Super empty and peaceful. The fireplace was neat. Highly recommend if you wake up on a Saturday at 12 and need a quick hike that's close to Seattle.

This hike was ok. The incline was great and gave a great work out, but the scenery remains the same and there isn't really a 'view' anywhere, unless you count the radio tower at the top of the central peak trail (which is a deceptive name because its not really much of a peak).

Trail was in great shape. Low traffic, nice weather. The way back is beautiful!

A great, easy summer hike. Spiderweb of trails to explore.

Decent hike and the fireplace is kind of cool... the viewpoint is disappointing though.

Short little trail. Great if you have little ones.

Did this on April 2nd 2017

Trail was very smooth over all. Recommended for beginners or runners. Not sure why they say there is a view point here. There isn't.. If you check out the pics I posted the very top had a big building with radio towers. Unless I went the wrong way.. Someone let me know if I missed something.. The signs are pretty clear untill you reach the third set of signs.. Just stay to the left and you'll reach the fireplace ( see pics). Great hike for newbies... Overall I'd do this again but onky if I wanted to practice running up a mountain. Decent trail.

Super fun moderate hike when you're looking for some peace and quiet in the woods.

Enjoyed this hike, the incline makes for a good workout, several hiking trails to choose from throughout this area. The higher the elevation the more snow was on the ground (around 6-7 inches) Yak Trax are suggested. Looking forward to coming back and hiking another trail.

This is a nice morning hike if you have a few hours to explore and enjoy nature. As a hike it can be as easy or difficult as you want it to be. Large portions of it used to be an old road used for jeeping so it isn't the most diverse trail however the nature around can be very interesting and the layout of the mountain itself makes for a very interesting hike. It is a easy to moderate trail but you can adjust that as you set your own pace. These trails and really the whole area in general would be dog friendly and great for trail running.

Relaxing back and out trail. Good for runners, dogs, and kids. bit of an incline but worth it to see the fireplace. would have been nice to see a sign with the history behind the house built in the 50s and burnt down by vandals.

The hike was great.
There's a few trails there, we actually went to Bullitt Fireplace one, if you take kids with you be ready to take a rest stops 'cause trail leads you up all the way.

Wet and slippery under foot but a simple family hike

Moderate trail, pretty sustained uphill to the fireplace. Wish it was interpreted, I would've loved to have known more about the fireplace.

great ! perfect fall hike

Sunday, September 11, 2016

I would consider this more of a moderate trail as it's constant uphill to the fireplace. It's nice and quiet for a Friday morning walk/hike.
