This is one of my favorite trails. I wanted to get one more hike in before it totally snows and this is my favorite to bring my pup on! We hiked a good five miles in, it was VERY windy (forecast says ~30 mph) so we didn’t completely finish the mountain, I had wanted to visit Buckhorn Lake. But it was still a beautiful day! No one on the trail, this trail is so beautifully maintained. Thank you so much WTA for rebuilding the bridge, it looks wonderful! The directions to get to this trail is awful, take Palo Alto, continue right on FR 28 and then another right on FR 2958. Drive a good 5 miles, you’ll come to a fork in the road with a sign that tells you which trails are where, continue left. This road goes forever, you’ll come across one more fork with another sign, continue left for another 15-20 miles or so. Trailhead has a little parking lot on the right of the road! Cheers!
