Will return to finish so we can see the amazing views from the top! Lots of snow on this particular day but such a great trail.

have not utilized this app yet but am excited and looking forward to using it this summer

Taken the loop but found this trail by itself is not enough of a challenge for me personally I have to add onto the miles, but as all the trails on Mt Spokane there is no denying the natural Beauty and the peaceful atmosphere

There is already a fair amount of snow on this trail so be prepared. Follow signs to the lookout. The first 3/4 is fairly uneventful and easy, the last 1/4 feels like Narnia because you’re in a narrow path with low hanging branches and snow everywhere. Pretty beautiful!

Can't believe we've never done this hike, instantly one of my favorite local hikes! Gorgeous views on top of all 4 local lakes (Spirit, Hauser, Newman and Liberty). Must do again! Well marked Trails, maps to help, great hike!

This is a great hike for breaking in your new hikers. Pretty view at the top and lots of huckleberries right next to the trail!

Took the trail with or two toddlers in backpacks and had a great time! Next time will bring the dog. The trail detoured a little from the map due to downed trees but it was very clearly marked. The lookout at the peak is beautiful! Lots of people out picking huckleberries. Go early, the walk back was not very shady and got hot!

Fun hike. Nice trail. My son is 4 years old and did the whole thing himself! He was very excited to reach the top! We got a few huckleberries, they weren't quite ripe yet. Lots of green ones tho! We will come back! And they sprayed for bugs!

Nice walk trail is well maintained and great view at the top!

Second time in Mt Spokane State Park, this time to do a couple short hikes, including this one. I didn't find it super challenging. Not a ton of views along the way, but the view by the lookout tower is great. Felt a bit like invading territory since a family was renting the tower. I didn't go up on the lookout, of course, but the view around the corner is satisfaction enough.

Did this at 7AM on Sunday and I was the only one parked at TH and on the trail the whole 80 minutes the hike took. Views from the summit are excellent. Trail was very good and obvious the whole way. Bug spray still is recommended for flies.

Beautiful trail with a little bit of snow at the top. Few down trees to cross over and a few spots on the trail that still has snow on it. The hardest part is going back up especially for me since I had extra weight with my son in his backpack carrier.

Simple, easy, wide (20ft) paths with vibrant trail markers. Views of both sides of the mountain. Long stretches with a view of the south side, especially.

Vegetation was sparse but with a wide variety. More bird calls in the morning than evening.

Bug spray may be a necessity, as insects were rampant-- giant bees, flies, aphids, wouldn't leave us alone. No mosquitoes. The butterflies fluttered around the blooming wildflowers.

Drive was hard on the car, and some roads were 1-car only. Paths were popular, but only saw a group every half hour or so.

Also, the camp sites had new(?) bathrooms with well maintained permanent structures (benches, fire pits, trails).

Take bug spray, better on a hotday as it is cool at higher elevation. We went in mid June and found ocassional snow piles. Very easy and wide paths. Pretty but expect to find loads of hungry bugs. Not bad by any means and very pretty.

We had spectacular views all around. Sort of a difficult hike as it is a constant uphill climb, and toward the end it feels like it will never end. Great hike though!

The views from the Lookout are awesome the trail getting there is in rough shape after winter with a lot of downed trees but it is doable and worth the extra work I had a great.time my dog did to with the little extra work out.

The hike was beautiful. We went to watch the sunset. Couldn't of asked for a better hike

I parked at the Lower Loop parking lot and the trailhead starts on the Carson Loop trail, which is a dirt road in the trees. Hiked up route 110 to a beautiful log cabin at the top, and down 140 back to Carson Loop track. About 5 miles total. Great trails, signs and maps at every intersection, and lots of picnic tables along the way. I went on Memorial weekend and there was a bit of navigable snow at the top. $10 daily parking fee if you don't have a discovery pass. Trails are mostly shaded in the trees, nice elevation gain, didn't have any big problems until I stopped at the top for lunch.

Trail 131 to 130 to 140 from lower Selkirk lot. Service road to Mt Kit Carson trail closed. The top of Mt Spokane on Trail 140 still snow covered and impassable without snowshoes. We turned around where 140 hit the service road, which is also closed and snow covered at that point. I think a southern exposure route would be clear all the way to the top.

Love this trail! A beautiful view from the lookout. Was quite windy but there was a sheltered area from the wind.

Also, hiked in the morning and loved the cloud cover/fog floating through the trees.

Would highly recommend!

This is a nice hike. It took me about 2 hours to do a round trip hike. Weather was overcast, but the view was still pretty great. I only saw one other group on the entire trail. The trail is mostly dirt/gravel road making for an easy hike.

Started with Mt Spokane trail, starting at the Selkirk parking lot. Went to Kit Carson and then out to Day Mt and down to the road back to the cabin. Downed trees have been removed and trails were nice. passed several bikers and other hikers.

Great snowshoeing today. trails are very well groomed. We did go the wrong way but it turned out to be a nice area where few had gone. Excited to come back and explore further soon.
