i think the loop on its own is not worth the drive from Marysville, but the hike was nice and the viewpoint was very pretty.

Recommended by friend who travels to Seattle along with many locals. Great hike, Douglas Firs were awesome and reaching the top was rewarding!

Wooded hike until the very end where the view opens. Moderate hike if you’re in shape. Great view from the top.

The trail was in great shape and the weather today was perfect. The views from the top were excellent. I would rate this hike a moderate. (Excluding the Haystack)

Very difficult. I meant to do an adjacent trail, but I got the names mixed up and ended up doing this one on accident. Definitely not for beginners, but the view at the top is amazing if you can stick with it.

This trail was beautiful! After spending a lot of time in a city lately, I was so happy to be surrounded by so many big trees. The trail is pretty steep and I was with some people who weren’t regular hikers so we weren’t able to make it all the way. Definitely a good workout! Saw a handful of other hikers along the way so not super quiet.

Difficult due to elevation. Beautiful at sunset but gets dark fast!

Solid hike with an amazing view from the top. Highly recommend going all the way and climbing up the side to the tip top. The only downside is going back down really took a toll on my knees. nonetheless I shall return for round 2.

Really great and challenging trail. Fairly steady incline and the scramble up Haystack is a nice way to cap off the summit hike!

Hard, steep but the view is worth it. The incline is almost throughout the whole trail. There are benches to sit at 2-3 places along the trail.

Solid- gorgeous forest hike. 3300 feet of gain is no joke, so plan accordingly. Bring Lots of water/food. Route finding in the rocky section is patchy, stick to the trails on the edges of the rocks. Haystack access trail is a bit hard to find, but just head to the right from the face and you’ll find it. Haystack scramble is a solid class 3, with patches of class 4 depending on your route. On busy days (Saturday’s) a helmet might be a good idea to mitigate possible rocks from above. Gorgeous views from the top. Downhill is a bit rough on the legs, but not too bad. Good stuff!

Good little hike. Steeper at the beginning and the end. I thought the view from the top was ok...not breathtaking, but definitely very nice.

Watch out for bees, they were pretty feisty. Also, ran into a mama mountain goat and her baby.

Nice hike. Went there after seeing the crowd at Rattlesnake Ledge (yikes!). This trail was somewhat busy but nothing like Rattlesnake! Only complaint is that at the top of the climb there’s only a small area for sitting & viewing & not much shade. Lots of shade on the trail though.

A moderate hike. Good to go with kid on back (3 year old / 30 pounds). Parts of it can be steep, but overall manageable. Some switchbacks later in the hike. Gave me a feeling of entering the Jurassic world - dunno why :)
Limited space up top for larger groupss and views are nothing fantastic, but at least something.

Hiked Mount Si for the first time today. Great hike!! I got to the rock pile in 2 hours and chose not to climb the haystack. The views were beautiful and there weren’t many people on the trail today. Downhill was definitely the harder (more painful) part for me. Took me almost the same amount of time to return because I had to stop to rest my knees.

Really fun hike, it's a pretty mixed challenge. Once you get past the steep first portion, it's pretty mild and more trail-like until you get to the end. Be careful for bees/wasps, they were in a frenzy when I visited and I saw two people getting stung, and another young kid walking back on the trail with his parents who got stung.

Finally to all the dog owners who take their pups hiking... PICK UP AND DISPOSE OF YOUR DOG'S POOP, AND IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THAT... KEEP YOUR DOG AT HOME. I saw at least 8 dog bags left on the trail in various spots. Really people, do you think the dog poop fairy going to take care of that for you? Clean up your shit, or leave the dog at home. Respect our mother earth and leave the trail better than you found it.

We had an enjoyable time hiking little Si today. We were looking for a hike our 4 year old could do mostly on her own. She did a great job, just needing a little help at the beginning and a lot of help at the end as the climb got much more difficult for little legs. If you’re an experienced hiker, I would definitely say skip this one and hike Mount Si instead where the views are much more rewarding. This is a great hike though for families and beginning hikers.

Worth the hike

No snow, which was great - at least to the first rocky summit! Took the bus from downtown Seattle and arrived at 1:30PM but there was still lots of room in the parking lot, so bus is probably not necessary. Hiked about 2.5 hours up and 2.5 hours down at a pretty slow pace. Did not make it to the very top, only the first rocky summit. Last bus leaves at 6:30pm.

WASPS—— Watch out for wasps about 2.25 miles just off trail. People were getting bit but also passing without issue.

Headed up on a cloudy day and near the top we were in the clouds. Was a mystical feeling but awesome! We had a guy who had never hiked before with a goal of getting to the top in 2 hours. He made it to the top with about 2 sec to spare. He also brought along 50lbs of camera equipment which the rest of the team ended up helping with haha. Even with the clouds at the top it cleared a bit with some of the near by peaks protruding through the clouds. It was a beautiful view even though it was cloudy. Over all worth every minute!

nice experience two and a half hours of top and two hours to go down wuao I loved me I loved
