HikingGreat!Rocky

Beautiful hike. Went on 1/2 day hike there last weekend, the air was clear at paradise even in the midst of the wildfire smoke with unhealthy air quality down below. Beautiful trail with ever changing scenery, the meadows are so pretty with wild flowers and we encountered marmots multiple times. I am not a big fan of hiking once it becomes rocks and gravels but enjoyed the views along the way. We will definitely go back soon.

HikingGreat!

Grueling climb but absolutely breathtaking hike. Disagree with rating as "hard," it's really more of a moderate trail. Very fun terrain, had a few chance wildlife encounters with marmots and deer that were cool as well! Definitely recommend. Total hike took ~3 hours flat, even with the extra mile at the end (2.5 mile return vs 1.5 mile option) and plenty of stopping to snap photos!

We went at 2:45 on Thursday 9/17 and the trail was great! There were some but not tons of people on the trail. We went clockwise so we could hike with the view of Rainer and it was perfect! Great variety of scenery. We loved the hike!

Left parking lot at 7 AM in fog and hiked the trail clockwise. First mile or so was in the fog, but then Mt Rainier started to emerge as the cloud-level dropped and had great views of My Rainier all the way to high point of trail. Last 3 miles dropped below cloud-level, but scenery was still gorgeous and we took our time coming back down. Even with all the stops for pictures, only took us 3 1/2 hrs.

This is one of my favorite Rainer hikes. First two miles are full of people who shouldn’t be allowed outside their suburban homes but the views on a clear day make their presence bearable. The last four miles is peaceful and the meadows are spectacular. A lot of Marmots, Picas, and a lonely hear enjoying blueberry. It is a bit rocky in places and the lower skyline trail is closed.

HikingGreat!

The paved part at the beginning is very steep, especially if you are pushing a stroller. It was foggy so we couldn’t see Mt Rainier or the glacier at all, but we still really enjoyed this rather steep but short trail. There was some fall color in the meadows and still quite a few wildflowers despite it being past peak. Would love to do again when it’s clearer. Not too crowded, but that could be from recent wildfires and smoke scaring people off.

Good incline and overall hike, but very smokey so you can’t see anything. Also half of the trail is all rocks and not very scenic. Not my favourite hike but had to check it out because of all the raving reviews.

Brilliant heavy trafficked trail, but can't beat it for a top tourist destination. I suggest doing a loop up skyline, then down pebble creek and then then on the trail to the far right trail bordering the river. The meadows are awesome. I finished on the waterfall trail to add some mileage.

This trail was beautiful! It starts out on a paved path with an immediate incline and the incline just goes up and up and up and up.
