Scenic drivingGreat!

This hike has 5 stars for a reason! Views the whole way. Mt Rainier was so beautiful at the beginning of the hike. We also saw a black fox cross our path! That was SO cool! lots of gold/ yellow and still some wildflowers right now. It does start to get windy near Frozen Lake. it was getting late so we didn't complete the trail, since I didn't want to hike back in the dark with a child. It wasn't difficult. I'd definitely say it's worth the hike!! We got some beautiful pictures and memories.

beautiful fall colors! A pretty easy trail with some inclines and beautiful colors throughout the hike. Snow Lake is beautiful and serene, a perfect spot to stop to eat. We went later in the evening and it wasn't busy. We hiked down quickly, as it was getting late and made it back to the car in 30ish mins. So pretty!

HikingGreat!Rocky

We went on Friday 9/19 around 9 to avoid the rain that was coming and we were the only ones on the trail the way up and got to enjoy the watch tower on our own for a solid half hour. Passed a handful of groups about a quarter of the way down but not tons of people. Very rocky at parts but not a hard trail by any means. It did get windy and cold!!

Hiked this section of trail as the sun set. Fog blocked any view down the pass, so I have no idea how beautiful it might have been. We did get to see the gorgeous array of colors from an open spot along the trail. I will say that it's a very long drive here for just 2.7 miles of hiking.

Hiked this section at the conclusion of a 21 mile loop. That said, it was incredibly strenuous to gain so much elevation at this point. This section of trail is not spectacular. It's mostly a wooded creekside ramble. The two interesting stops for me were Mowich Lake and the switchback section just below the pass. I would not choose this as a stand-alone hike if you're looking for something incredible. With other destinations around, like Tolmie Peak, Carbon Glacier, and Spray and Seattle Parks, Ipsut Creek takes a back seat.

No smoke. Beautiful valleys. Not too crowded in the evening when I went. The lakes aren't big, but beautiful.

The paved part at the beginning is very steep, especially if you are pushing a stroller. It was foggy so we couldn’t see Mt Rainier or the glacier at all, but we still really enjoyed this rather steep but short trail. There was some fall color in the meadows and still quite a few wildflowers despite it being past peak. Would love to do again when it’s clearer. Not too crowded, but that could be from recent wildfires and smoke scaring people off.

We really enjoyed this hike despite the fact that it was foggy and we couldn’t see much of Mt Rainier. Up and down elevation and several staircases but not too hard. Snow Lake has a beautiful deep blue color and there is a big meadow surrounded by mountains just past the lake that’s worth a look. Also a bit of fall color is starting to show.
