Nov 3. Took about 45 mins up and 30 mins down. The road was not easiest to navigate, but the rocky part didn’t last too long. Got there around 1pm and there were about 10 cars at the trailhead. Several groups with younger kids and/or dogs. The last bit of climb to the top was steeper but there is a cable to help you pull up if needed. Gorgeous day with 360 degree views. No wind and warm air.

The drive up to the trail was a task. But thankfully my Hyundai Accent got through it! Just gotta go slooow. The trail was well maintained. Not crowded at all... surprising considering the workout u get on this trail. It’s short but steep... lots of switch backs. Took my dog, who sure was lots of help haha. The view at the top was stunning!! Got to see mount rainier which definitely stood out! Not many hikers at the top which was great. Not too buggy when I went. Definitely a great hike with a beautiful view at the end :)).

Amazing 360 view at the top!

This is such a wonderful hike, but amazingly is kind of a hidden gem. Even on a beautiful sunny Labor Day, I had the summit all to myself for a good 15 or 20 min. The 360 degree views at the top were stunning. The trail is in excellent condition, but to be able to drive all the way to the trailhead I would recommend a high clearance vehicle with 4wd. There is another parking area about a mile from the trailhead where low clearance cars can park, however.

Many potholes. I had to stop 1.5 miles from the trailhead because my sedan would not go past one small stretch. SUV or Trucks with higher clearance will make it. We hiked the extra distance on the dirt road. The trail itself was fantastic. A lot of huckleberries and amazing views at the top. Completely worth it.

great trail, forest is thin making for great views in many places. Road is tricky at times, potholes and rocky areas that can pinch your tires, small cars in particular.

This trail is fairly nice but not at all a hike. It's a fun walk for beginners and going off the main trail onto the bike trails makes it a little more challenging. There are quite a few homes along the trail for the first 1.5 miles which is a bit unfortunate if you want a more secluded hike. About 2 miles in I ran into a bear in the middle of the trail and had to turn back, quite a few bear droppings on and around the trail so I'd say he probably wasn't alone.
