Cute waterfall! Lovely scenic park and a beautiful walk!

Excellent trail for little kids! There is access to a river pool, a neat waterfall, and tons of short side paths you can take that will land you back on the main path. It is paved so it works well with strollers, scooters, etc. The kids felt like they were on an adventure yet we werent too far from where we parked.

It was a nice little walk for my 9 and 2 year old. Lots of other people out on the paved trail biking and skateboarding so we will definitely bring bikes for the kids next time. I did think you would hike in a bit to see the waterfall but it’s right off the road. There is a little walk out dock that gets up closer to the waterfall and there were a lot of turtles out sunbathing, the kids loved that.

Very simple and well used trail. It’s paved and I see lots of bikes and skateboards, but people are respectful. A good walk while the kids bike or skateboard.

Not really a rural hike, but a nice little oasis within the city. Paths are mostly paved or gravel, with some dirt trails branching off throughout. Paths are well defined but don’t exactly follow the AllTrails maps - but that’s no bother really since they’re all interconnected. You can branch off from the main trails down to the rivers edge, trek over to Discovery Park playground, or just meander through the wooded trails with ease - also the man-made waterfall area is a great stopping point where you can observe turtles, ducks and even a marmot or two. I took a non-jogging stroller and it was perfectly fine even on gravel, although we had to avoid some of the smaller dirt paths with it. A great family-friendly walking/jogging trail that we will definitely do again!

This is not a bad area to walk through by any means. I quite enjoyed seeing the park landscape, but if you're not going with a big group for lunch, I'd say make a hard pass on this one.
