While the trail was mostly on a logging road, the falls at the end was worth it. The trail at the end was a bit muddy and overgrown, but not horrible. We had the falls area to ourselves which was nice. The whole trail was mostly shaded. I would definitely do this again.

It’s an ok hike. Mostly service road with lots of dog poop. The falls are mediocre at best.

Parked on the side of the road, just after the gated road which we used as a trailhead. A majority of this trail is a logging road and nearly 50% is under power lines. Like other reviewers stated, we referred to the map A LOT but there's internet reception here so it's all good. No bathrooms. 6.63 miles. Began on a 60 degree, misty Thursday at 11am and saw no one else until right before we finished at 2. We traveled counterclockwise and I'm glad we did because this was the direction for a bitty workout that I logged as 70 floors (no switchbacks, just up up up for the first 3/4 mile or so). Fields and trails covered with incredible wildflowers - definitely the best part. We saw hawk and deer and heard birdsong all morning.

the instructions to park as well as the route on the app are not up to date. portions are only open during salmon running season. parking next to the bridge as instructed sends you into an overgrown ditch and no trailhead. parking just south of there at the gated road is where you need to be. we traveled clockwise because Bayview was not visible from the location on the app. many side trails entrances were not visible but the exits were. midway through we realized Bayview was very clearly marked, just not where the entrance was on the app. suggest using your phone the entire hike. our photos show how close we got to the actual route.

great views. lots and of roadways. had to check the map alot. lots of off shoots

It was a good trail! The actual trail was a bit muddy. But considering that there was a small watershed that ran across the trail at one point played a part in the mud. But there were other sections that were just muddy because it was previously wet. But most of it was dry!

We parked on Old Olympic Highway and walked up to the Bayview Trail trailhead. It was not too overgrown. We then proceeded to the Wedgie Trail. You’ll need your app—barely there, very overgrown but the views along this trail are beautiful. There’s a great clear spot to stop and take a rest or picnic. We came out from Wedgie Trail and followed the gravel path, but took a detour to walk in the Kennedy Creek Salmon Trail which is close to the road where we parked. Take one of the trails to the creek and enjoy the clear waters. Watch for mud, overgrown and if you take the Bayview to Wedgie route be prepared to do some uphill climbing.

My husband and I enjoyed this hike but we were disappointed in the trail conditions close to the falls. The trail was very muddy and difficult to follow. Make sure to follow the trail map so you don't get lost. We ended up continuing on the logging road and we saw beautiful views all around.

Good views along the logging trail the path to the falls should be more noticeable but it was worth the hike had the falls to us for two hours before anyone else came along. Definitely will be back.

Found ticks so be sure to check yourself! This hike is hard to find, short (if you find it) and the views aren’t that great. It easy a pretty easy hike, small hills for the most part and not too many obstacles like big rocks or roots to trip you. The best part was not seeing anyone else the entire time I was out there.

Great adventure- use the map. Take dirt path w/ little bridge off of main trail. My dog and I both got a tick so be prepared and check yourself when done!
