Fort Ebey State Park, a 645-acre camping park on Whidbey Island, was originally built as a coastal defense fort in World War II. Concrete platforms mark the gun locations. The park has three miles of saltwater shoreline on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, a freshwater lake for fishing, and miles of hiking and biking trails.

Nice, easy hike. Dogs enjoyed it. Families could easily do this hike. Not many views. More wooded area, trees, flowers, and such. Very enjoyable

Lovely trail! Beautiful ocean and forest views. One down side was the mud in certain areas.

Good hike. We walked 6.8 miles using the AllTrails app to navigate our way around. It was still a little muddy. We saw some wild life and there was great views of the water.

Beautiful spot. Pretty windy today and cool but worked up a sweat anyway. Harbor seals in the water, super close up of an eagle and some deer on the way out.

Awesome hike, great views!

My friend had a busted ankle, and we still managed to do it. Pretty flat and easy, with a beautiful view of the Sound at the end.

great trail.

Such a nice day with great views!

Great hike, but the AllTrails map is not correct! Had a Bald Eagle land 10 ft from me! Unbelievably awesome!

This trail ranks among then most picturesque my spouse, dogs and I have hiked to date. It is well marked. Fellow hikers were pleasant. As a novice photographer, I really appreciated the abundant photo opportunities along almost every foot of this trail. As always, being near the water was a major plus.

My family absolutely loves this trail system which also leads in to Fort Ebey. Tons of trails to choose from and if you are a rock hunter this is also a popular place for that as well! Enjoy!

This was a wonderful walk today! I couldn't have asked for a better day to do this walk for the first time.

nice easy hike!! very beautiful and love the views from the woods to the bluffs

You are able to hike for about 35 miles on this trail system without seeing the same trail. Deer, coyote, woodpeckers, bald eagles are present here. This is a great trail for interval training as there are elevation gains. You can either park in the state park with a daily fee or an annual park pass or park at trail heads for free outside of the park.

Super fun hike! It was exciting because it kept changing a long the way and felt like a few separate hikes. We had kids and a dog and all went well. The kids loved the bunkers. We took a stroller which I DO NOT recommend. Way too bumpy and steep at parts to maneuver the stroller. If you have a child 3 or under, I recommend a backpack instead of stroller. Overall, Super fun!!!

A great place to take in the water & breath taking views. Bring a blanket and stretch out on the grassy over looks. Nice pieces of history to check out here as well. Sunset viewing, p e r f e c t.

Really great trail! Pick a day where it’s sunny and clear out so you can really enjoy the views from the bluffs. Take your time and explore the bunkers along the way. We brought our dog and he loved the trail—he’s older and the soft dirt/sand were good on his paws.

Loved this trail! My 1st trail in Washington and the view at the end of the hike was awesome! Def worth visiting.

Went there on a rental Trek... it had switchbacks that were challenging to me

Trails are in good condition. Muddy and slippery in some spots, but it's the pnw in winter.
