One of my favorite places to go and relax

My second review of this trail - simply put, convenient, enough trail routes and turns to do it monthly and keep your experience fresh, and a decent climb if you are parked at the west lot. All in all, can be easy and relaxing 2 mile loop or a mildly strenuous, mazey, 3 mile jaunt.

Super pretty too even on a cold January winter day

I love this trail because it feels like a little slice of heaven within a residential area. It's close, convenient and beautiful. It doesn't boast any amazing views and is easy in the sense of the workout; however, very pleasurable to get out in nature and get some movement.

Very pleasant trail

8/12/2017 (Saturday) - Cool, cloudy morning 62-66F, 2 hours, 3 miles, loop on the low flat land, up to rather steep sloppy woodland. Friendly hikers and dogs all the way. Dry trails, but creeks still flow.

Family favorite trail, bring the dog sometimes too. She loves seeing all the other dogs on the trail. Kids love that we can take a little different route every time!

Lovey trail! Scenic, well maintained with ample signage. Leashed animals allowed.

Awesome for a short walk. Very well maintained

This is such a great trail. There are many points where it branches off so you can make your walk/hike shorter or longer. You can also make it harder by walking from the lower trail to the upper trail and then hike up to the upper parking lot and then come back down. The trail is great for kids and dogs, as well. The scenery is beautiful, it's relatively quiet so you can hear the birds and water, and the trail is well-maintained and well-marked. There can be a couple of muddy spots along the trail but nothing you can't walk around. Also, there's a bathroom which is always a bonus. The only downside is that less than of the people I come across with dogs actually follow the "keep your dog leashed" rule.

Had a nice hike with my 3 and a half yr old.

This is regular walk for my dog and I on our weekly rotation. Quite a lot of interesting vegetation, birds (if you are patient) and brooks/streams bubbling down from the plateau. Start low from the parking area on SR-202 or high at another entrance on Sahalee Way. (The map currently does not show the upper trails, which opened in 2016). Trails are well marked with signs at every juncture indicating what's in each direction (meadow, forest, hill). There is about a 330 ft elevation gain if you walk a loop either parking lot to the other. A lot of different ways to mix up this walk on each visit. Description says "Near Redmond" but park is maintained by and in City of Sammamish.

I have done this trail many times, and there is always something new to see. The fact that it has many branches off of the main loop that go in different directions allows you to go a new way each time. It is an easy trail for beginners like me.

Nice trail, dog friendly, bathroom facilities, several side trails to venture on, streams, quaint little bridges to cross. Wish it was longer then 1.9 miles well maintained and trail markers/post along the way

It's short and some areas are not covered. Family friendly if kids can walk. There is hardly any elevation.

Short and flat. Quick trail to stretch your legs in the lowlands.

3/31/2016 (Thursday) -- 3:10 - 4:40pm, solo, hot sunny afternoon but cool in the woods, 70-73F. 7.5 miles one-way from Peter's home. The park has trails more interesting than expected or shown on the map, featuring a rich variety of terrain, from flat wetland to woody slopes. Well-maintained trails, more than a dozen numbered footbridges, most with murmuring streams flowing below. Two trailheads with better parking on the western higher side (Sahalee Way). Clear maps at all numbered crossroads and forks. I enjoyed quietness and solitude in this small park, as there are no supercilious runners, and just several couples of various ages. It's indeed an "enchanting" walk.

Really enchanting walk... We kept on making right turns at each trail marker to extend our loop because all of us (kids age: 7 and 10) wanted more. Amazing moss covered trees, gorgeous canopies, quaint streams. Our favorite part was all the new tree growth that clearly started on top of friken enormous old stumps. Can't wait to go back and do an even longer trek.

Great suburban nature walk.

Amazing nature walk, for adults and kids. Great place to teach kids plant identification and reading a map. Very peaceful, close-in setting to enjoy nature.

Cute trail. Bring your toddlers.

For a short afternoon jaunt just to get outside, this is nice. The moss on the huge old maples is thick and lush. The trails are well-maintained, with tiny little footbridges scattered throughout. There are at least three solid wooden platforms which are perfect for setting up your tripod; they'll make the bird-watchers very happy. We were there in January and there wasn't a lot of birding activity, but it was a cold day and I'm sure there would be more in different seasons.

I really enjoyed walking along the trails as each trail leads to a new loop but can also connect with the main trail to get you back to the parking lot. The best part about this hike is finding the hidden gnome that is found somewhere along the trail (picture included). There is some mud and water mix with clay which can make the trail slippery in some areas toward the end but just watch your footing and you'll be fine.

There are several bridges along the way and the main bridge across the wet land is really fun to cross. The views are beautiful filled with forests and little creeks while crossing bridges.

This is a very easy hike for everyone including children and dogs as many were seen on the trail. I would repeat this trail again just to have a wonderful walk in the beautiful weather.
