Deception Pass State Park is a 4,134-acre marine and camping park with 77,000 feet of saltwater shoreline, and 33,900 feet of freshwater shoreline on three lakes. Rugged cliffs drop to meet the turbulent waters of Deception Pass. The park is outstanding for breath-taking views, old-growth forests and abundant wildlife.

Trail was not too busy, a nice mix of flat-ish and climbs and descents. Nothing too hard. Not sure where the extra 1.5 miles came from—we did Pass Lake Loop, Ginnett Trail, and Big Cedar and it only added up to 3.6 miles

Always a beautiful walk. It was a little over grown this year.

Great view of deception pass. However, half the trail was closed due to maintenance issues. If you can parkour your way down to the shore, you’ll have a nice scene of the water and maybe some sea lions off in the distance.

We did the trail on a nice sunny fall day. Trail is in good condition, not too muddy but has potential to following rain. Some areas are a little exposed to the wind so a windbreaker jacket is a good idea. Loved the walk, nice and easy, plenty of spots to rest if needed, great views. Highly recommend for a leisurely afternoon

Beautiful trail and an excellent view of Deception Pass Bridge. You see it all! Coast, forest, marsh...you won’t be disappointed! Absolutely breathtaking views!

Great view! Easy quick hike!

Decent trail to stretch your legs on. Some nice views at the top and a few spots with beach access at the bottom. Not too busy on a Saturday which we appreciated.

Hard to find the trail head but once we did was fairly easy but there is a steep beginning. Beautiful views.

Amazing views through the entire hike. Some over grown parts and barely any signage made it difficult. We got off track and had a hard time finding out way back. This app helped a lot!

Really enjoyed this trail. Some areas with overgrowth, but not bad. Great view from summit.

Great dog trail. There are a few ”hills” to climb along the way. One place GPS couldn’t guide in right direction and no sign to point in right direction, good news is side trail does catch back up with main trail. Great views and will soon be doing this again! I’ll go the right to start loop next time.

The views are gorgeous!!! Fun hike!! Only negative was the trail isn’t marked very well, a bit confusing to follow. We will go again! I wouldn’t bring small children.

Overall an ok trail, not many views of the lake. At the initial fork we went to the right, I feel like this way is easier because less uphill, could be wrong though, either way you’ll definitelyhdown come across some tough uphills, at least if you’re like me and in borderline shape. Well marked trail, lots of pretty trees

Beautiful trail and views! It’s mostly flat along the perimeter portion of the trail. Some parts are a little tricky to navigate along the switchback portion as you ascend to Goose Peak. The views along the hike and at the summit are incredible!

Wonderful short hike with dog. Varied terrain and growth on perimeter trail from east side of Lighthouse point to west side. North side of perimeter trail is washed out with some branches blocking the way. Park needs to inform hikers and rebuild some areas.

Beautiful views but not well marked.

A good easy hiking trail. Well maintained. Lots of ferns and huge old growth trees. Lots of shade.

I read many of the reviews before going and still had a hard time finding the Lighthouse Point hike. There are no signs for it until you're into the trail a bit. To help find the right spot do the following: Once you turn into the Rosario Park turn immediately left on the Bowman Bay Road (campgrounds) and then left towards the boat launch. The trail is down the fence line past the long pier. Also, you have to have a Discovery Parking Pass ($30) or pay a daily $10 fee which is only accepted in cash or cheque and you deposit it in a metal box in the parking lot. I'm only giving this 4 stars because it was a hassle to find this trail and I didn't know about the parking fees. It was a very easy hike for me and my 10 and 7 yr old girls. I don't think it should be listed as moderate. It was short too since I took the advice not to hike the northern part of the loop. GORGEOUS! We spent a lot of time leisurely enjoying all the beaches and it was a great day! Totally worth it once you know where to go. :-)

Hiked the bottom portion of the trail closest to Deception Pass first-very well traveled and stunning views! The upper portion of the peninsula is not as trafficked, overgrown and spider webs every step. The trail split, downed trees in areas, and one group of hikers mentioned “precipitous falls” often occur. The map showed a trailer higher than we hiked on that upper loop but the terrain did not allow us to gain access to the actual notes trail until about 1/4mile around. The whole trail even the less traveled was so beautiful!!!

Pretty easy hike with amazing views around every corner.

This hike gets annoying at times with the bees while you try to eat and some people who arkwardly pass by you and different trails that doesn’t make sense. This hike was okay
