Explore the most popular nature trips trails in Deception Pass State Park with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

beautiful views but super narrow trails and not marked well, I recommend downloading offline maps/directions.

as for the trail; there's is not lighthouse anymore and all mosses at the top of the island, be careful with footing. My kiddos were able to hike up and my suggestion is great hiking shoes with grip!

You can park on either end of the bridge, think best to park on the north side so you can read about Deception Pass and walk across. Path takes you under the bridge and down a lush fern edged trail to the beach which is absolutely beautiful at sunset. Short hike with great views, spectacular scenery. Can be sunny or shrouded in mist/fog. Don't miss it.

Great, easy hike! We came last September and loved the views. Dog-friendly and lots of friendly people.

Absolutely stunning, quick hike. We timed our arrival at the bridge with sunset, which was out-of-this-world breathtaking. Definitely make time to go if you’re in the area!

A very nice place. Great scenery with breathtaking views. Love the place.

Nice trail, pretty easy to navigate... I'd imagine it might be a bit tricky in the rain. Overall, easy & enjoyable trail.

Great views from atop the bridge, well worth your time to stretch your legs and talk a walk. North side pull out parking is free, every where else is $10 for the day $30 for the year. Free bath rooms at South end parking lot.

Beautiful hike, but note you cannot complete the loop as the map indicates. Also, they might want to rename the island to Green reflector point as there is NO lighthouse there any longer. Beautiful hike with many water views. Only real challenging part of the trail is where it’s obviously no longer maintained and had to turn back

Beautiful hike, and even got to see a whale out in the distance.

Beautiful views of water, islands and mountains - what more can you ask for?

So unexpectedly beautiful views on a windy day in February. Perfect Sunday adventure for Washingtonians.

Beautiful Hike. would go again in the spring/summer to get the best sunset view. went while it was raining. So awesome

Great spot to lay and stargaze

Great views even on a cloudy day. Enjoyed walking around on a Sunday and exploring the beaches. Dog friendly but be careful as there are some steep cliffs :)

So many amazing views. Even in January it was a little busy. But it was a perfect sunny day.

So much fun, Great for kids and families, pets. Fun views and beautiful scenery at the beach end. I recommend to see the bridge from below and up on top. Easy walk in the park.

Make sure you’re there for sunset!

Beautiful views. Like many have said the trails on the north side of the point are really bad, potentially dangerous. They're really steep! We brought a 1st grader and a dog and fell many times. It got really bad so we turned around. Great smooth hike if you keep to the loop on the south side. Would go again.

Beautiful views but poorly marked at times

Nice hike with great views. However- The trail on the north side of the lighthouse loop is really poor. We got lost (with GPS on) and had to scramble up and down some really steep slopes. When we finally made it out we met another group that had experienced the same thing.

The view from the bridge is stunning. Be sure to take the short walk down to the beach to soak in beautiful views of the clear blue water. This is one of the places that made me fall in love with Washington.

Have ALWAYS loved this place! Jaw dropping perfection! It rained for the first time since June today and it was very windy, SO what I have been waiting for, it must be a Washingtonian thing ;) We walked the trails and the bridge and the pups got to play in the water! Great adventure day for sure!

Well marked trails. Use the built in map near the trail head to see trails not on the app. Great loop trail that is well used.

Really beautiful hike. Could do most trails in one day. Summit, alongside water, beaches. Beautiful

This trail was a nice length. Fair amount of incline. Several different trails. Also found John Tursi trail which lead to a creepy cave and all the way down to a private property ranch and little view of campbell lake. Dont think i would do it again but nice hike with the pups!

Blessed to be surrounded by such beauty! This is a place that never gets old. Gorgeous!

A fun connector from south island trails to mid-island trail network.

Lots of elevation change.

Going clockwise around the island/peninsula, the first half was spectacular. It's a stretch to call this hike a loop trail however. Had the kids with me, and accidentally took the black dashed line "trail" down to the water. Wasn't sure we would actually make it back up to the main trail, it was so steep. If you can find the main trail, it's steep in places and almost need to bush-whack to get through.

07/14 - Beautiful views of the water.
