Easy hike. We took whole family, kids and family members of all ages. Views are of forest and trees thought we might see a bit more of the area. We did stick to main loop. Maybe next time we will go off main trail to see if views change.

The hike itself is ok, but as others have mentioned, the “view” is underwhelming and does not make for much of a destination. Opt for the Big Tree Ridge Trail instead if you want a truly stunning view from Cougar Mountain. Also, the only moderate section of this trail is the somewhat steep decline to the so called lookout. This can easily be bypassed by continuing down the main trail and then traversing .1 mile to the lookout. Traverse back and finish the loop.

solid hike, still muddy in spots.

Nice hike, initial gain, then meanders for a bit. Huge puddle on trail, so was good time to head back. Look forward to hiking it again in the summer and getting to trailend.

A very nice easy trail system that is nicely marked. It's a nice area and will definitely keep going back.

A great trail. From the trailhead to Debbie's point is 8 miles roundtrip. A strenuous hike, and I recommend hiking poles, they will come in handy here.

Well maintained trail. Nicely marked and had some great viewpoints along the way. Went on a rainy cloudy day, will definitely need to go on a clear day.

It was easy but it was beautiful by the falls. It gets better once your are off the gravel path.

Good running trail as the elevation gain is minimal for a hike but not a whole lot to see on the way. Moderate but persistent grade; there is more interesting terrain on the Anti-aircraft ridge trail and some cool logs you can jump over on your way up or down the mountain. There’s an okay view at the beginning of the trailhead of Lake Sammamish but there’s not much space to enjoy it.

Lovely winter - early spring hike. Lots of open sky on a sunny March day before the maples and alders leaf out. Busy in the first/last mile near trailhead.

It’s a nice hike but not very many views! Good exercise though. Trail is in great condition.

First timer and it was hard to find where the trail began, but once we figured it out the lore was plenty of signs along the way. It’s like Poo Poo points little sister and the view was with it!

Well marked, relatively easy hike. Moderate traffic, saw about 15 people.

It’s actually a little longer than 6 miles but the way up it’s mostly uphill. It’s definitely worth it when you get to the top though.

Nice view but small view point and trees block view little

should be listed as a 'easy' trail. Gorgeous waterfall. Go early. Lots of afternoon activity.

I couldn't neccessarily find the De Leo Wall trail because tho it was marked on the map, there was no "you are here" point. Also, none of the trails were marked De Leo Wall.
However, this was a fun little hub of interconnected trails.

Nice trail to enjoy a quick walk or jog. Great to have a mini picknic at the top bench.

Great trail for my moderate hiking skill level with some views and easy path to follow. I really appreciated all the signs letting us know we were on the right path.

Went over the summer, and the hike was eclipsed by how buggy it was. Very pretty, though.

Great for the family or by yourself. Good views and leisurely hike. Make it more of a challenge by running it.

It’s longer then 3 miles about 3.4. It a good hike not much to see today, fog rolled in.

Good for a hike. Nice forest and when weather cooperates, there is a view if you do an extra 0.6 mile loop.

Nice, short, mostly easy trail with a beautiful waterfall at the "end" of it as a nice payoff. Go on a rainy day if you want to see a bigger waterfall. During dry weather, it's barely a trickle.

Nice walk in the fall, even after rain. The road is still not that wet. One thing to remember is the viewpoint is nothing but a small platform with little view to Renton direction thru trees. And if you continue after the view point, make sure you do not turn right into a way to local community. Always check GPS for right turns.
