Cama Beach State Park is on the southwest shore of Camano Island facing Saratoga Passage. Cama Beach offers visitors a chance to step back in time to a 1930s-era Puget Sound fishing resort complete with waterfront cedar cabins and bungalows. These have been refurbished, with modern conveniences added, and are available for rent year round to individuals and groups.

Went up to cranberry lake the trail was nice and dry and easy to get to. Once you got to the lake the bugs were horrible!! Next time will bring bug spray. Besides the bugs it was a nice little hike.

Fun hike taken early morning with our kids (almost 3 yr old and 10 month old). We entered at the Dry Lake Rd Trailhead, which is downhill the entire way then uphill the way back. Quite a few spots with massive mud puddles—made it difficult with a stroller, but otherwise it was fine.

It’s a nice easy trail and light traffic. I would give higher rating but its not all old growth forest and I’m spoiled by some of the other Washington trails.

easy hike, very peaceful. big beaver pond at the end
