Very very wet and overgrown. Dress appropriately if doing after any rain. Otherwise easy climb and spectacular view at top on a clear day.

Started the hike on a hotter day around 1pm. Lower parking lot was full so we had to park in the upper lot, but it was not crowded by any means. Moderate number of people on the trail but social distancing was relatively easy except for on very narrow sections of the trail. Falls were very refreshing (cool mist blowing on your face) on such a hot day! Then the climb up to the mountain, which had a handful of pretty view points. There is one side spur I wish I had taken that puts you on a knoll with a great view, I saw a group having lunch there. The summit was less climactic, it is fairly overgrown but you can see Mt Hoods and Mt Adams peeking out on a clear day. Bugs were out in force so we didn’t stay long. Make sure to bring enough water, there aren’t any sources after the waterfall and it was warm! Overall a relatively enjoyable but hot hike.

Mixture of woods and openness. Hiked June 26th in 85 degree weather with the sun bearing down and it was warm. Arrived around 1330 and the main parking lot was full but spots available at the overflow parking. A lot of hikers just stopped at the waterfall on the way in and went no further. It was less congested to the mountain. Trails past the falls were single file so not much room to move out of the way. Great views along the way up to the summit. Lots of bushes at the top of the summit so pictures were doable but a little blocked by the shrubs.

Nice trail. Cloudy day, so no view. Nice wildflowers. Will do again.

Love this trail see a waterfall and gorge view and see Mt Adams. It’s actually 6.4 miles up and down. The loops is 7.9

Went yesterday and the trail was open. Mostly cloud views on the way up, and no view at the peek, but had great views on the way down! There is a rocky area that seems like it would be the peak, but if you follow the trail, you keep going up. Beautiful waterfall and The Pool of the Winds was amazing! Sturdy hiking shoes are a must on this trail. Keep a close eye on children if you hike all the way up. Easy to fall a good distance at points, especially on the off-shoots.
