Great trail. I am a runner and I am starting to get experience with trail running. I had to slow down a few times because the trail was narrow and I didn't want to slip into the embankment. Otherwise, I recommend. Good inclines. Not a lot of roots. Beautiful views.

Nice hiking trail. Not long or hard, mostly flat with a lot of bugs. Lots of sea shells to look for on the beach.

Nice views lovely for hiking

Very low impact hike highly recommend the views are amazing.

Great trail. Well marked. Hiked with 2 small dogs. Nice views with little to no traffic ( early April). Nice variations in grades and landscape.

Favorite trail in the Hampton roads area so far, but still pretty new to the area. We saw about four juvenile eagles too.

Nice trail to view marsh and creek. Didn't see much birds during this trip but could be the time of year.

I love this trail. Make sure you sign the log book! Lots of solitude and great views. Switchbacks and elevation make it just challenging enough. I have slipped a few times on the leaves in the fall after rain, so keep your footing.

good local hike. can tie this trail to others @ park Good overview of York River wetland areas.

Nice short trail for the family and dog friendly. Started off next to a pond and then ventured through the woods until you reach the beach. The beach is pretty and there are lots of shells to be found. Overall, a nice day trip.

It was great!

More hills than you'd expect for Southeastern VA. Very muddy in several spots. Wear good shoes. Watch out for snakes on trail.

Liked the hills on this trail, not difficult at all. Can't wait to try other trails at YRSP.

Supper short, but scenic. It is steep going down so you will be glad it is short when you go back up. I think I did this back around 2014.

A beautiful park with views along river, beaches and plenty of miles to hike for the day.

Really fun to hike. Very narrow in places. I wouldn't recommend this if it's recently rained as with all the switchbacks and slopes it could be treacherous. Great views of all the scenery in the park.

This is a nice trail in York River State Park. I have hiked this trail several times but the location is wrong. I will suggest an edit.

I've run these trails 3 times now. If you want it to yourself then go early in the morning. There's usually plenty of shells to find on the beach. It is kept up very well, however the last time I went there was a tree down covering one of the trails. If you go when it is humid outside then be sure to bring bug spray. The best part in my opinion is how secluded it is. Will be going back this summer to run.

The Taskinas Trail was great, beautiful views throughout the trail. Looking forward to exploring more of the park.

This part of the York River is beautiful by daylight but even more at night. Many Virginia State Parks have ranger led night hikes. York River State Park is no exception. We had to run the las half mile because the sky started flashing and booming. I made it to the car with only about 3 drops of rain. There were bats, bugs, two deer, a skunk, and much more. Some of my pictures came out too dark, but others are okay.

I had planed on spending the day Saturday but it rained all day. Why hike in the rain if you don't have to? So I went today and it was sunny and cool Perfect hiking weather!!! It was so beautiful. The trees had small leaves and the dogwood were in bloom.

Really nice trail approx. 2 miles - I think its best to hike not bike we did both. Be mindful that its east to get turned onto another trail when on here as we ended up doing 3 times. They all intersect and loop around each other. The markers can be a bit misleading, so if you want it to be a 5 or even 4 mile just pick up the Dogwood or Majestic when they intersect and you'll increase your mileage plus take advantage of the different terrains.
