Very well maintained and marked trail! My husband and I went early on a Monday morning and only passed a couple other hikers. We had an appreciation for the signs (displaying both historical and scientific facts), just a very unique and fun experience. Definitely plan to come back, plus we saw no snakes - yay!

Well maintained. Saw only three other groups midday Wednesday.

Great trail, good for an easy day. Follows a small creek for most of the way. Last bit (or beginning) follows a paved road.

This trail was a solid "Meh." I am trying to come up with nice things about it first. The trail was well maintained, and there were clear blazes everywhere. It was entirely in the shade through the forest, and followed a creek almost the entire way, which made it considerably cooler than I thought it would be on a 90 degree day. I saw a few blue tailed skinks, some frogs, and a couple of deer. I was surprised this park was open, as everything I had read said that the parking area was closed and I would have to hike in. The parking lots were open, and there were rangers at the entrance - collecting a $20 fee! Was not aware of that. Very little incline, and I finished in exactly 4 hours with no break. I'm 6 feet tall and walk on the faster side, but this was one of the easiest trails I have hiked at this distance. Would definitely rate it more easy than moderate. My entrance fee gains me use of the park for the rest of the week, but I probably won't return. Pleasant enough hike, but nothing to write home about.

could trail with slight inclines and declines. When the trail splits at the beginning and goes left and right if you go left you'll have more have a climb at the end

Kids didn't want to do the full loop so we started at parking lot d and went to the falls and back. Trails were great and kids had a blast.

This is a nice trail for anyone looking for a quick hike. The trail has a bit of elevation and a few rocks and roots, but is overall pretty mild. There are some nice views of the creek, but most of the views are just of the trees. The Scenic Drive which runs past the trailhead is pleasant but does not loop for cars as it becomes bikes only about halfway around.

Great shady trail run! Bit of a scramble over roots and rocks for part of it but absolutely beautiful!

Great hike for an 80 degree day. Pretty water views and a picnic area at the midpoint.

Park road is still closed but parking outside off road and walk-in is allowed. Really upped our mileage total.

Hard to follow with so many trails in one location, markings are far apart between different trails

I loved this loop! The amount of beautiful and accessible waterfalls and rapids is amazing. Due to the parking lot being closed, the walk from parking wasn’t the best, but it was worth it!

Still have to park out on the road outside the park and walk in but the trail was great. Went early on Memorial Day weekend and saw three people on trail until I was off trail and was heading back to my car.

Great nature walk for kids (very approachable but reasonably challenging for 3yo) ! Has nice factoids on plaques along the way. The bridge gives a halfway (ish) point to burn some extra energy and provides connections to other trails if you want to extend. Bugs (mosquitoes) can be bad so wear / bring repellant and keep moving! And check for ticks! Roads at PW are currently closed for Covid-19 so be respectful when parking along 619. Leave no trace! Pack in, pack out! Love to our park rangers!

Nice trail, no one else was here. Two trees were down on the trail. 5 month puppy’s first hike. Parked off of Joplin and walked the West Gate fire road to the trail head.

Prince William Forest Park was closed on 5/13 because of covid. Many people were parking on the main road and walking to the trails.
