Hiking

Starting at the Mill Mountain Star, I combined the Ridgeline and Monument Trail for a 3.5 mile hike. The trail is narrow, about 50% rocky and has roots you can easily trip over. It's not a good trail to hike during Covid-19 as there are several places where you can't step off the trail to maintain 6'. In addition, no one was wearing a mask. The reality is that it's an urban park and noise from the city can be heard. However, the best thing was seeing the Mill Mountain Toll Booth that dates back to 1924 and some of the surrounding older homes.

Fantastic trail. Started at trailhead, cut off at picnic area to make it a 4.0 mile loop. Great with dogs, very little traffic, amazing tree coverage.

This was an amazing hike. Did it with a 5 year old, 8 year old, 13 month strapped to my back, and 3 dogs. Not a hard trail at all but takes time. Ended up walking doe 6.2 miles instead of the advertised 5.4 but no big deal. There was an area where we were not sure if we were on the right path since there was no marking and there is an area that if you do not watch out you will switch from the red trail to the white. But besides that it was fabulous. we will definitely be back again

Good loop, saw a coyote, some elevation but not difficult. One place the trail was not marked well but good otherwise.

Love this trail combo (add in Sidewinder). It is a beautiful with everything blooming. Some of these are biker and hiker, so have to listen out on the thin portions of the trail Also some parts are rocky which isn't easy to navigate for people with joint issues.

Nice scenic trail to be in the middle of the city. The view from the star never gets old. Was not crowded when we were there. There are sections with lots of gravel/loose rocks that is not to easiest to walk on, but overall it's a good hike.

Has some beautiful spots and the birds are really alive there, but the sounds of the city echo loudly through 70% of the trail.

It was a good trail. The first 2 miles weren’t as secluded as I thought, it walked right behind a trailer park. There was a strange machinery noise that also disrupted the peace until about mile 3 and then it got better.
