Not a bad hike didn’t care for all the walking along the power lines. There were a few down trees on the trail. $7 to get into lake Anna park

A lot of roots (easy to roll ankle) but pretty good overall.

Adorable trail partially along the water. Easy hike with some moderately steep grades and lots of tree roots to beware of. Enjoyable evening hike!

The signs weren’t mark clearly. It wasn’t clear when one trail ended and when the next one started. Overall it was nice. Not a lot of traffic. On the trail. I Was able to see a lot of horses on the trail. The weather was just right.

Nice hike, half along the shore of Lake Anna and half along an old railroad bed. Good views across Lake Anna. On the easy side of moderate due to short length and fairly flat terrain. Watch out for the dying red cedars: they are falling down and big enough to severely hurt you if one should fall on you. Overall, best hiker-only trail at Lake Anna State Park.

I didn't think this was all that well marked when we went, a bit confused as to which trails we were on. But not a difficult hike.

Pretty easy hike. There's a couple steep hills, but nothing too strenuous. There's not much to see, so it drags a bit. Not sure if someone else covered this, but you take two other trails from the parking lot to get to the trail. It's a good trail if you're just trying to get some miles in.

Nice easy trail for a fall stroll to take in all color changing leaves!! Kid friendly too!

Not impressed by this trail. A good bit of it is done along the power lines with no shade and tall grass. Make sure to treat your clothes and gear before you go and wear LOTS of bug spray - the flies and gnats are out of control.

The trails were well marked and parking was available. One car costs $7 on the weekend to park. There is a lot of good lake views and plenty Forest.

Nice trees and scenery. The trail was real muddy due to recent rains.

A good warm up for some of the longer trails. Circles a small pond with labeled foliage. Also has fitness stations. Nice view of the larger lake. Paved.

Short and sweet; I like the "fit trail" stops with exercise signs.

Peaceful, good views of the lake for the majority of the trail. Easy to moderate difficulty; if you want more incline, start at the trailhead closer to the campsite. Note that the trail is characterized by a lot of tree roots and can be a bit bumpy in places.

Should really remove the "jeep" out of the name... Drove up and down that road and didn't find any trail wide enough for my jeep. Very disappointed. As far as the park goes it was lots of things to do.

Great hike with wonderful lake view and access. Fished it numerous times without any great luck. Pretty easy with a few little rises. I either start the trail from the boat landing area of picnic area B.

It was over a year ago, but I thought it was the visitor center and very much in the park. Maybe it was called something else. Anyway, Donna was right that there are many miles of trails in the park, so pick your hike from beautiful lakefront to uphill leg burners. I think this is one of the prettiest state parks in Virginia.

Fun easy hike. Can get crowded around the lake. The fisherman trail is not well marked and overgrown.

Wanted to try this out based on the one posted 5 star review. We followed the directions per this app but could not find the trail head. Don't waste your time.

Please note this trail appears to be within the state park . There is a lake anna visitors center separate from the park, and there are no hiking trails there. We did hike about 4 miles of the trails in the state park. Very nice. There are plenty of trails there, and you can put together any hike length you want.

A wonderful view! Did it on Memorial Day and it was a little crowded since it's the closest to the visitor's center and because people wanted to fish from it. Beautiful views and we even got to see 6-7 deer running through and some skinks!

A lovely loop that can be picked up starting at the Visitor's Center or as a continuation of Old Pond Trail. Lots of little overlook views of the lake. Great trail! Can't wait to do it again in the spring/summer.
