Nice hike. we stuck to the red trail this time but definitely going back!

I primarily use the Creeper for trail running, but have biked and even gone swimming in some great swimming holes along the trail. The Virginia Creeper is gorgeous, and offers a variety of great views no matter which section you are on. I love the farms and trestles on the Abingdon section the most.

Love this hike, it’s waterfall after waterfall. Just Beautiful!

Love the trail. It’s a great place to explore. It’s shaded and cool for hot summer days. The first big waterfall can be used as a water slide! It’s right before the boardwalks, and at the bottom there’s a big pool with a steep climb back up to the trail. It may look like there are sharp rocks in this waterfall but it’s pretty safe and smooth!

Just biked from White Top, down to Damascus, was very new to biking a trail. I had a super fun day of biking, Our trail was about 17 miles downhill, the views were beautiful and the rental place we used was phenomenal, awesome trek, would do it again!

A nice trail to ride horses on.
I recommend riding during Winter months and on weekdays, because of the heavy traffic of bikes.

Great hike! We did a mix of all trail colors. The river front trail, light blue, has larger rocks which weren't great to walk over but we made it over them-- and for a short amount of time, thank goodness. Will come back!

Super easy hike and easy for anyone just beginning

I’ve biked this beautiful trail many times, some going up from Damascus to White Top and back, but most just down after taking the shuttle up. When taking visitors to this region, most say it’s the highlight of their visit. Even on the hottest summer day, at altitude, you’ll encounter a comfortable shaded cooler trek down, so bring a windbreaker. Lots of photo opportunities on the rocky stream. Enjoy!!

Quiet. Peaceful. You can fish, camp, walk the trails or relax and enjoy the picnic area.

Great place to get away! Can’t wait for all the changes they have planned to go into effect

We biked Damascus up to White Top. Took us about 3 hours. The last 3 miles kicked our butts but felt so good to get to the top. We started at mile marker 17 and ended at 33 I believe. The ride down to was a crazy!!!!! Fun but crazy. We were down in about 1 hour. The bridges and views are awesome. The next day we started at trail head in Abingdon and went to Damascus and back. Again the bridges and views were amazing. So in about 31 hours we did about 65 miles. This is an awesome experience. Pack plenty of water and healthy snacks. Not much along the way to get those essentials.

Easy hike and great scenery.

When I did Whitetopto Damascus I thought I was in biking heaven then I found the open glades and varied terrain of the leg from Abingdon to Damascus. Much more open and still follows rushing waters and trestles galore. Dont miss scenic trestle 7 and the long ride over trestle 12. Wide open spaces , Rock walled forest trails and dense forest trails to hide from the sun a perfect mix. If you're planning your stay investigate rooms along the trail maybe even bikepack it. Have fun don't miss this one.

love this trail. plan a stop at Alvaro for some desserts!!

Great hike

Rented a bike and rode 17 miles of the trail downhill to Damascus from White Top. Not a bad way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon. Great family outing if you have younger kids. Scenic views along the river were amazing in places.

Great hike for a beginner

This is my new favorite hiking spot! The trails are well maintained and it's an easy walk to several waterfalls. When we return I will plan to spend more time here lounging on the rocks and playing in the streams.

Best to go after a good rain! Absolutely beautiful!

Great trail for all skill levels.

Incredible hike and absolutely stunning scenery. Beautiful river and waterfalls.

Super great hidden hike. Trail is well maintained. When I went the only other people were two fisherman at the beginning.

Fantastic afternoon hike! Took our two boys and they really enjoyed it too, especially the Falls. Plenty of water rushing over the falls too, so it looked great!

Was a great hike ..

Easy. Fun. Can easily jump on other trails.

Awesome trail with flowing stream and a few waterfalls. Thanks Brandon for the tip to hike this trail. I took a few pics and posted them since there was a little snow on the ground and these pics are definitely a different look with a wintertime scenery captured.
