I actually really like this place because no one is ever here! There aren't really 'trails' to walk/hike but the landscape and history behind it is pretty cool. Love the secluded little beach at the end of the ramp where you can see the Jamestown ships on the horizon. Features Virginia's second oldest black walnut tree over 200 years old with a rope swing that you can play on. Great place to escape to for the day

There are no defined hiking trails here. It's a very small park. If you want to get exercise, you'll pretty much have to walk circles in the grass. If you try to follow what you think is a trail you'll end up hitting a dead end and have to turn around. Go to Windsor Castle Park instead. It's so much nicer. One advantage is you have a nice outlook and access to the beach and can walk along it if you'd like.

A nice park with a great beach. It was pretty busy this weekend with a huge gaggle of cub scouts but still tranquil and pleasant. The fort is over 400 years old and some of the trees may be as old. There are restrooms, picnic facilities and well groomed trails.
