Finished Barr hill in AM. Had some extra time & energy, so polished off this one. A few X-country ski & a snowshoe track. Went off shore & took pic on ice, then back out. Little did I know I’d be back on this in a few days. I can see where summer might be kinda ho-hum. Lotza snow.

Not sure what all the fuzz is about. Walked on this trail it was very short and muddy. When I reach the end it stank like dead fish. Yes I mean STANK. No grand views no interesting spots. There are much better trails with actual lookout sites. Nothing to see here.

Beautiful hike next to a stunning lake. Very remote. The road to the trailhead was impassible in our sedan, so we walked from the main road. Beautiful walk as well. No mammals, but saw frogs and heard several hermit thrush- thought by many (myself included) to be the most beautiful bird song in the world. I certainly plan to return many more times. We took the lefthand trail and wandered through stunningly lush vegetation by the water's edge. Next year we will take the righthand which will take us to the lake's marshy area. I would love to boat on the lake, but without a better vehicle, it will not be possible.
