My husband and I did this trail in under 2 hours. It was fantastic. We started by 7:30 AM and were finished before the sun got too hot on us. Go early—it’s perfect weather and even more beautiful to see the sun coming up at the river before you start the hike! The little sections of scrambling were fun and not too hard. The pools are low with water but still worth seeing. I highly recommend this quick hike with rewarding views!

For a couple from Texas, this trail was just the right amount of challenge. The switchbacks aren’t too steep, and once you’re past them, the hardest part is over. There was a narrow section just past the switchbacks that had a stream or runoff, which caused mud. It didn’t make it difficult, but you might get your shoes wet and need to watch your step. My husband and I started and finished just past 2 hours, including stops for photos.

Amazing!! Start early and you won’t see anyone! Layer! Water is cold!!!

Very crowded and a bit hard to get to, but enjoyable due to its short hike length. You have to strategize your parking while coming down towards the tunnel (not away from the park). We parked off the shoulder about .25 miles north of the trailhead. My husband carried our 8-month old in a front carrier and she loved it. We shouldn’t have left at 10 am in July heat though! Nursed the little one under the cool rock covering about halfway up. The lookout at the top is nice! Gave us something enjoyable to do since we couldn’t get shuttle tickets to get up the scenic route. We used hiking sticks and were glad we had them on a few sandy patches of slick rock. Wear sturdy shoes!

Very well-built trail. My husband carried our 8-month old in a front carrier and she loved it. We shouldn’t have left at 1 pm in July heat though! Bring extra water and perhaps shade covering for little ones as there is not much shade at all. The lookout at the top is nice for a different view of Zions. We used hiking sticks and were glad we had them on a few sandy patches of slick rock.

Water was very low. Would spend more time hiking other hikes instead.

Great at sunset!

This entire trail is extremely difficult for inexperienced hikers. Angel’s Landing is just the beginning. The rest of the trail took several hours, many of which with no shade. When you reach the top of the plateau, you are greeted with overgrown trails. I am out of shape, so I literally drank 2 liters of water by the time I reached the beginning of the loop. Being stubborn, I decided to continue and do the entire trail with about 1/8th liters of water. The way back I ran out of water like an idiot. 6 miles with no water. I would not do this trail again unless I had over a gallon or more. Sub par sights on the East part of the loop (telephone), decent views on the west and north parts of the loop. Again, bring lots of water and turn around once you are half empty. Please don’t be an idiot like me. Would recommend going during cooler seasons, the heat added another layer of difficulty and dehydration. 4 stars because the telephone/East side trail was thick and overgrown.

Easy hike, I arrived on Saturday the 4th of July right before the gate at the east entrance closed at 8. No problem finding parking and got up just in time to see the sunset.

Started at 7 am and was in the shade the entire hike. Finished at 8:30 just in time to see the sun come over the mountains, definitely recommend a morning hike! Not too many people going up, a little more crowded as I was going back down. I loved the way the trail starts by the water and it meets back up with you near the top. Trailhead is right by the visitors center so you don't need a shuttle ticket.

Great for a walk or bike ride. River access points along path. 6 July 2020 - apparently there is some bacterial investigation occurring related to the river water. Swimming in the river was not recommended.

Beautiful trail, pano views of the park. Loved the pool at the top, very rewarding! Well marked, a few scramble spots but overall moderate hike. Felt like more elevation gain but we did hike at 1pm which was super hot in June. Also, we took our chances and waited by the gates with our car around noon. As people leave the park they do let more cars in!

Fun, easy to moderate hike. Great views into the park. Lots of families and all different ages hiking this trail. We hiked this one back in June 2020. Started around 8am, trail is well marked and pretty short. Go early before the sun is blazing hot!

No matter how hot, you can jump off at any point on the trail to cool off in the Virgin River.

Good trail for the early morning. Nice views of Springdale, UT and the rest of Zion NP.

Definitely try to do earlier in the day to avoid the heat (and maybe some people... this trail gets packed!).

Very busy hike. Be prepared for crowds. Recommend having a stick for stability during all the river crossings. Beautiful and the water is refreshing in the heat.

Parking is very very limited but if you can find a spot....wow, beautiful trail with the most amazing views of Zion. The trail is a little hairy, a few spots you are walking on the edge of a drop off, but it is totally manageable.
