Easy trails, nice views but as you get higher you see the road and parking lots.

Loved this. It gets narrower the father you go. I had good hiking shoes and wool socks which worked well. I had a tracking pole. This is a lot of fun!

Easy walk

Oitstanding view at the end. A must do if you visit Zion.

Nice easy paved trail along the river. This leads to the start of the Narrows trail.

If I didnt want a longer hike this ones good. I did it when I finished hidden canyon late afternoon. The observation deck was popular earlier but near the end of the day not many people were there.

Yes, its short and busy, but oh so beautiful. Don't miss this one. Photos cannot do the cascading water justice.

fun! rent the canyoneering shoes and neoprene booties worth it. the side canyon was cool too.

Fairly easy hike with some beautiful scenery along the way. The pools are pretty unique!

Easy hike to the official trail viewpoint. If you add on East peak (unofficial trail) it is a bit harder. No one on the trail after that. The views were expansive and 360 deg from the East peak. That wilderness feeling. On the way back follow your topo map. Saw a rattlesnake and deer tick.

Anywhere else but Zion this would be amazing. If you have limited time you might skip this one. The final loop trail is fun and a good area for a lunch break.

short but great view

Nice trail. Worth the hike to the upper pond!

Good little hike if you have small kids..

Very busy trail and the pools were a bit disappointing, more like puddles. Still a nice walk

Fun to walk through the water! Pretty busy the first mile, but less the further you go.

quick cool trail but there are many better hikes

It was beautiful but even with the rented water shoes and stick I was almost falling constantly which made it far less enjoyable

got stuck at the tunnel and decided to do this hike. was a great idea!

Did this hike today with my sisters. Beautiful views for such an easy hike. The water was warm enough for us to just wear sneakers and leggings. Was a little crowded at the beginning, but thinned out the farther you walked up the river.

Its closed for the year.

Fantastic views of iconic Zion landmarks. Easy hike up and down. Plan on 30 to 60 minutes.

If you love solitude and an epic view after hiking this trail is for you. Don’t plan on spectacular sights during the trip out. It is very quiet and nice to get away from the crowds. Bring plenty of water. The spring was barely running. I could see this hike being brutal in the middle of the summer in the afternoon. The hike out in the morning was enjoyable with some wind and the hike back got warm. I saw a total of 6 people on the trail.

One of the reviewers commented that the Emerald Pools were a big disappointment. We agree. The water flow was minimal. But once we advanced on the Kayenta trail we were really pleased at the views down canyon. Note, on the Kayenta Trail the trail makers call it The Grotto. The Grotto takes you down by the river which I think would have been a great relaxing finish. Unfortunately, it was in the 90s and we weren’t in to it at that time.

Easy hike though we did it from Gorge to Lodge to make it a little longer. Very crowded, but pool is nice to see. As others said, river is better

Hiked this paved trail a couple days ago. Nice easy walk around the river. On the way back we came around a bend and there was a deer eating branches just inches off the trail. He just ignored us as we grabbed a picture and then went on our way.

Absolutely spectacular!

The end of this trail has a fabulous view of the Canyon - for not a lot of work to get there. It was quite crowded when we were there causing a few traffic jams on the trail, but nothing awful. Most important note for this trail is regarding the parking - you can only get into the SMALL parking lot coming from the west, and this lot is immediately after you exit the tunnel. Alternatively, park ~ .25 miles further east along the road.

This is a basically a nice alternative way to get from shuttle stop 1 to shuttle stop 3 or vice versa. We found the views to be best between shuttle stop 2 and 3. We used this trail as a nice end of day cool down for the legs after hiking other places.
