Very easy trail and very dry. Saw a few hawks circling above us which was cool. Not a lot of shaded areas.

Fun trail, I must have been the first one on the trail with all the Cobb webs I walked through. I hiked it counter clockwise. Ran into a ton of mountain bikers going down the switch backs.

Great Trail for running. A lot of coverage with Gamble Oak, tall grasses and other growth...mainly single track. It seems that most trails have become super crowded. Because this one is a little overgrown and maybe because it doesn’t offer many Instagram perfect photo ops...we didn’t see anyone else. That is why I am giving it 4 stars. There were a lot of bugs, especially mosquitoes....but that seems to be an issue on most trails this year.

Well maintained trail; decent cover with gamble oaks. However, not greater than a 3-star Utah hike. Good, not amazing, but definitely mostly green (maybe blue) level hike.

We love this trail-all the way to Crow’s nest. It’s the perfect amount of incline and decline and perfect amount of tree coverage for 80% of the route. And in the last three time we hiked here, I’ve only seen two bicycles.

Just called Wasatch state park. Cascade springs is only accessible with off road vehicles as roads in both entrances are “torn-up.”-Arlene WSP. Roads may open in August 2020.

Nice hike but trail is a bit confusing as there’s many forks and cut off to other trails but not obvious signage.

Meh. That’s what our hike last weekend was like. We were trying to get to a different trail head, but the road was closed due to a fire. This was recommended, but we just weren’t impressed. The trail is mostly along the road and the maps are not reliable to find other trails.

5/16 Closed down to a recent fire. Check before heading out. Believe should be open in a couple days from what I was told. Was waiting to ensure all hot spots are gone.

The start of this trail is unavailable when the road is closed. You will have to start at the campground and pay a 7$ fee. From the campground the easiest way to find the trail is to cross the road again or walk along the road to the start on all trails app. We did not do any of that lol. We started from the campground parking lot and it added about a mile to the distance. Theres a decent amount of switchbacks when you get halfway through the trail. Not much shade. On the way back down, to cut some milage off, we took the happy camper trail back down the mountain to the entrance of the campground. Overall great scenery and easy to follow if you know where to start.

Pleasant trail. Direct sun and partial shade. Scrub oak dominates. Crows nest has some beautiful aspens and Mountain View’s.
