awesome views and climbing on rocks. Not really much of a trail. Hard to find the trail if you're coming from the Hidden Pinion Trail.

Trail thru the lava field is very rough. Nice views from the cave at the top.

Quite an easy route till you get to the white rocks amphitheater. Then it’s an unmarked scramble up to the top.

great trail. Feels like mars at some points.

Have to constantly look down to avoid tripping on rocks.

This is a rugged trail, loose rocks, sand, flat rock and some boulders provided many opportunities to slip and fall I had to think about almost every step I found the trailhead no problem but the beginning and end of the trail was confusing because of other man made trails However, the payoff was the beautiful Canyon and views Like us on Facebook, “Apackof2 for the Road Follow us on Twitter “ apackof2fortherd” Subscribe to our new YouTube Channel “Apackof2 for the Rd”

Packed my baby on this one. Longer but easy trail. Cool cave. Sucks that the trail runs close to homes and private property now.. no shade. Saw a rattle snake. Be aware! Other than that, sweet hike.

This trial is a great one for a beginner slot canyon. The trail is easy. The slot canyon is a short one but pretty. It only took us about a half hour.

so fascinating! The lava rock against the dramatic red landscape is like nothing I have ever seen. This was the destination of the park, aside from petrified dunes which is a really quick walk. Lava Tube (can be) an actual hike. However, most only spend about 2.5 miles on it because that is how far you go to crawl in the second lava cave. We lucked out with weather, perfect warm fall day. HIGHLY recommend if you are coming to this park.

Loved the trail until you get to the wash. Turned around because we didn’t want to walk on white sand for a ways. Went to explore the petrified dunes. Follow signs to Hidden Pinyon if you want to see the nooks and crannies of the hike. Went 2.2 miles

Perfect trail for kids and beginners. I also am hiking on a healing ACL, so I’m very cautious with my knee and hiking trails and this was perfect. The weather was gorgeous in October, and the trail was not crowded. It’s a simple out and back, a few small rocks to maneuver and some sand, but easy.

Great hike. The first mile through the wash can get a bit muddled, but after the trail is pretty easy to follow. The views at the top are amazing, i think the best of Snow Canyon. Don't miss the bones at the top, they are there :) If you go up clockwise to the top, the loop down is a bit of a scramble at times. Not too bad but it isn't a clean trail.

The trail head is hard to find. Jeff’s comment helped but I never found the sign. For me the trail starts to the right of the indicated start on the map. It’s to the right of the road leading to the animals. Head down into the gully, head towards the canyon, bear right , and then up out of the gully puts you on the trail. Some steep steps and a few mildly narrow spots but views are great. Once on the trail it’s easy to follow.

A stroll through the high Mojave, go around the bend, and boom...an oasis surrounded by red rock walls. It was a nice hike.

Nice little walk to a very very short slot canyon.

The walls of the amphitheater are fun to climb. I went up the rock on the left side. I'd guess it's a YDS Class 3. It was most fun I had at the park.
