This was an awesome trail. I am 5’9” 170lbs and I had my wife and 4 kids with us. Our youngest is 13. We hiked Spooky and Peek a boo in the morning and read that this was a 7.1 mile trail so we decided to go for it. Well, the drop in to the canyon can be done one of two ways. You can either rappel in or hike around and drop in. We didn’t have the gear to rappel, so we hiked down in. Follow the Cairns and you will come to an arrow pointing south. This is where you can hike into the canyon. It is a bit steep but not terrible. We tracked the hike with Garmin watches and when we hit 3.5 miles we thought we were about to turn around. The canyon kept going! We pressed on. There was a fork in the canyon and we headed further down. We did not explore the upper slot. The slot canyons opened up three times and I’m sure you could hike out at any one of those. We continued on and at about 6.3miles in there are two drops. The first you can do without gear. The second drop would require rope, harnesses and skill. It appeared it was about a 25 - 30’ drop so we turned around. We were able to hike up to the previous “opening” in the canyon and hiked out from there. Eventually we tied back into the trail. We did not see any Cairns on the way out, but followed footsteps and the map. We got back to the car and clocked 10.4miles on three devices. As others have said, this is a “real” slot canyon and it is Tight in a lot of places. We took Camelback day bags with us and had to carry them in quite a few places. Also as someone previously said, take snacks and water. The hike out is long and you are out in the open. This is one I would do again!

Not for big folks! Great slots! Fun canyon! I’m 6’1, 220, and built like a linebacker. I have to exhale completely to make it thru some spots. We had such a fun time! Highly recommend!

This trail is not for the faint of heart or anyone with even a slight claustrophobia. There are sections of this slot canyon that are extremely narrow. I highly recommend getting some beta on this trail. It was extremely fun, and not at all what I expected (it was my first real slot canyon....we did Peek-A-Boo and Spooky the previous day). The walk back is through the desert so make sure you bring enough water and snacks to keep you fueled.
