We loved this trail I took my 3 & 2 year olds there was snow on the mountain so they were going up the mountain to find Elsa. However my only recommendation don’t go after snow (which is rare) or rain, it was a lil scary at times with the slippery parts with toddlers, all around though it was fun

Awesome trail with great reviews. I imagine sand would be deep in Summer. Overall great family hike!

Easy trail as part of the paradise rim loop. Good senic views.

Great trail with beautiful views, connecting to other trails in the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve.

It rained the entire day yesterday. Today I biked the trail and it was great. There were only a couple spots that had mud or water. Fun ride.

Fun hike with some great views.

Great hike in the city St. George. Trail head is just a few blocks from downtown. Amazing views of the city and surrounding area. Can be completed in a couple hours, not too strenuous.

Only saw 2 other hikers on this easy 4 mile hike in January, with beautiful 60 degree weather! Pros: fun combination of rock and gravel and dirt path, excellent views, option to climb the big rocks overlooking St George. Cons: east end of trail is scattered with broken glass, tiny pieces, and although you mostly don’t see the traffic on Red Hills Parkway you can hear it the whole way. Sure beats neighborhood walking though!

Well marked trail. Beautiful hike through Bone Wash to get there.. Thank you Red Cliffs Desert Reserve.

1/12/2019 Did the elephant arch hike this morning and then to the end of the Bone Wash. We hiked two and a half hours on both trails. Easy fun hike and. the weather was perfect for a little over five miles. We like doing it a few times between January and April.

The directions to the Trail head need to be updated. Once you hit the fire station continue on to the second street on your left which is Main Street. Turn left on to Main and into the Brio home development. Main Street turns into a dirt road. Continue on the dirt road to the trail head.

Of the trails in the St George city limits, this has become my favorite family friendly trail. From start to finish it has either stunning views from the tops of tall red cliffs or interesting rock formations along the trail. It took us less than 2 hours and we were taking our time. The only downside is that there are a few parts that aren’t marked to well so make sure you pay attention to where you are going.

Very nice trail. Basically a service road until you get to the Wilderness section which was over 2 miles down. We did not see signs for Elephant Arch, but if you follow the Mill Creek signs, it will lead you to Elephant Rock. From Trail head where we parked it was about 6 mile round trip outing.

Very close to town and convenient. the flat trails are great for a simple walk, or even www.easy bike ride. The Eastern part of the trail is wide open with a few small dips. The Western part of the trail has several opportunities to climb on rocks and go bouldering. This trail should be classified as Easy.

IMPORTANT: tracks at bottom of first hill, raised tracks in first picture are not on the trail

Went with a couple of friends we all brought our dogs. It went great was easy and fun

Such a mellow hike through a lot of pretty canyons and dry river beds. The beginning wasn’t quite as scenic, but after about the first mile, it gets much more enjoyable. About 4 miles round trip - great family hike.

Really neat. Easy hike. Beautiful views. Ancient History. According to the evidence, the Ancient Natives were riding dinosaurs. Check it out!

My friend and I hit this trail yesterday. We walked 2.5 miles out all the way to the grapevine trail and then headed back not seeing anything. The tracks are right at the beginning, at the bottom of the first hill not far from the trailhead. We completely missed them going in. We laughed so hard. Despite the little sign talking about the tracks, we didn’t realize that was where they were located. Lots of sand covered the tracks. In fact the track in the first picture (the raised one with the interesting patterns in the rock) was completely covered. We had a blast either way. The entire trail is beautiful. Also the dirt road from the neighborhood to the trailhead was easy to drive in my 2WD truck.

Beautiful hike! I was hoping to see more dinosaur tracks along the hike other than those that are at the bottom of the first hill. I never did see the tracks shown in the first picture for this trail. Not sure where that track is located. The scenery is gorgeous and worth hiking the full trail out and back.

Follow-up to my post. It turns out the raised dinosaur track currently shown as the first picture for this hike is not actually a dinosaur track that is on this hike. It can be found a couple of miles from this hike at the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm. https://www.utahdinosaurs.com/

Fairly easy but long for young children. The scenery seems to change every few yards making this hike visually delightful. There are two benches at the end of trail where you can sit and enjoy the view. January 9, 2019 temperatures of 60 Fahrenheit.

Nice area for some easy hiking amid beautiful scenery. It feels remote in places even though the highway is just over the hill and in spite of being able to hear traffic. You can connect this trail with Beck Hill, Gila, Paradise Rim and Turtle Wall trails to provide a variety of options for loop hikes and varying distance. We spent 3 hours in here wandering around and taking photographs. Nothing strenuous about these trails; suitable for anyone who can walk on sandy or rocky paths.

I clocked it at 1.9 miles beautiful scenery plan on one and a half to two hours it is a steep climb and not for dogs or children great place for a picnic at the top beautiful views

Fun hike and very pretty. The description says, "Lightly trafficked," but we went on a Sunday at the end of December and there were a lot of people.

This was a fun little hike with a great photo opportunity at the end.

The app claims I finished this trail, but it’s not exactly true. I did most of it. I’m also doubtful Scout Cave is on the trail because I saw the trail marker in a different area. I did see the turtle and arch. That was cool. It’s an exposed trail, so take a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water.
