Easy trail. Just expect to climb steep climb in the sand going back to your vehicle,

I really enjoyed this trail. There are so many trails in the area, you can combine to customize the length. The loop is easy to follow if you use the map and your phone GPS. Recommend adding the Paradise Rim out and back to this loop.

Cool trail, lots of cool rock formations. A mix of sand, technical obstacles, climbing, and slick rock riding.
I joined up to castle rock via the Grapevine, and prospector trails.

Gorgeous trail with stunning red cliffs and dino prints. However, it is short and you can hear traffic on the highway and see the sprawl of town on nearly the entire hike.

The dino prints were covered with sand from recent rain when I was there. You may need to look closely and brush them off. Be careful not to step on them, they are right on the trail.

Some interesting rock formations, but mostly it's a boring hike. I definitely wouldn't want to do it in the summer, it's 100% exposed. The trail is fairly well marked but can be easy to lose in spots.

It was dank yo.

Great hike. Not a great starting location on this particular map. Google had me park in the middle of a neighborhood & follow a trail in between houses. Once on the actual trail it was beautiful. Will definitely be doing this hike again but starting from another location.

Park at the Pioneer Hills trailhead. We crossed the highway & walked trail backwards from what’s marked here. Walked back on paved bike trail. Could’ve started a half hour sooner to beat more heat but was a great hike.

The trail is poorly marked, which makes following it accurately a challenge, especially at night. Also, a bit close to civilization for me. I enjoy a trail where sirens and cars driving by cannot be heard. On the plus side, it's quick to get to, and isn't too long. The view isn't half bad either.

Get out early. Love this trail . Great for mountain biking, hiking, jogging.

It’s nice hike.. I was thinking of riding my
Mountain bike there but couldn’t find a way to get there with my mountain bike. The chuckwalla trail doesn’t allow mountain bikes and I think halfway wash as well.. so idk

Good hike with beautiful scenery. Really best if you add an out and back along Paradise Rim and Scout Cave Trail...some of the best scenery looking into Snow Canyon from that route.

Fun easy family hike. Great reward at end of reaching the cave. Awesome views.

I'm not sure how to make this a loop hike. We started at the Paradise Rim trailhead and hiked to Scout Cave and ended up coming out I believe at Johnson Canyon in Snow Canyon. Luckily, we had a family member to come pick us up to take us back to our car. Would love to do again and figure out how to make it a loop hike. The trail was beautiful from Paradise Rim to Scout Cave, lots of fun lookouts. Hiking out from Scout Cave you're hiking in a wash, nothing much to see from there. Would do again, but would like to figure out the loop.

We had great time on this trail. It was not too hard or too long just a nice hike. We took about two hours to do Scout Cave and Johnsons Arch.

We started the trail from a pullout just off the the road (Red hills parkway). We parked in a dirt lot and started the trail. This was an easy beginner trail for my husband and I, but a challenging and fun trail for our kids (4,6,9). Our 4 year old got a bit nervous about the ups and downs and rocky terrain. Our other kids loved it! There was a fun section of Cairns along to path to stop and admire and add to. We didn’t finish the loop, but finished at Dixie rock.

Great trail after you turn left toward Dino Cliffs. Lots of beautiful scenery, fun rock formations and views of the city. We hiked this trail, others were mountain biking and made me want to bring my bike back and try it :)

Easy trails that were fun to hike. Started with Chuckwalla TRAIL as a connector. Then hiked Halfway Wash Trail all of the way. Then connected to Paradise Rim Trail, which had great views. From there took Turtle Wall Trail back to Chuckwalla to finish up. Nothing terrifically difficult but a good hike.

We didn’t do an out and back. We ended up doing a loop and connecting into the Paradise trail. It was gorgeous! One of my favorites. A little sandy at times, but a great outing.

Pretty and peaceful. Great views of the surrounding areas and views of Zion National Park. Saw a few trail runners and a couple other hikers. For the most part we were the only ones on the trail.

Great little hike! Easy to get to with a great view and plenty of gorgeous red rock. We took my two year old, and he walked half of it with no problem.

Appropriately named; plenty of deep, bright red sand to enjoy! I've only completed this trail from east to west; using the Grapevine Trail to connect in and then the Millcreek Trail to exit back out for a total of 6 miles.
Beautiful lookout once on top of the hill; a nice 360 view. The west end of the trail is hard to follow mostly because sand can't be hardpacked and well-worn so its easy to loose among the sagebrush. I've lost trail several times, even after knowing my way down. The key is to look for the next white trail marker sticking up and make your way to it.

An excellent place to see unique wildflowers in the spring!!

Fun little hike. Very easy, pretty sure dogs are not allowed, as there are no dog signs. Close to St. George, not a suffer fest in anyway but still fun.

Gorgeous hike. Great for those not looking to be too far removed from "civilization."
