Decent trail: A bit steep for some, and overgrown to the point of requiring pants after the first mile. The cabin at which most people end this hike is 2.4 miles in, making it 4.8 RT. The currently shown map listed at 9.5 RT is pretty inaccurate and I couldn't find a trail going west from the cabin. I followed the marked (plastic ties on trees) trail south-west for about 1 mile until I lost it along one of the streams feeding Mill Creek, south of Kenny.

Amazing trail.

Had a blast !! Great trail! Sunny day!

We enjoyed this hike although once we got to the top loop it was just about impossible to get down to the "Cave" area. Taook about 2.5 hours.

Very pleasant hike! The slope is pretty gentle all the way to Elehpant Rock. There was quite a bit of fresh now on the ground on 3-18 but the trail was easy without the need for microspikes.

I snowshoe and hike this trail all year long...it’s usually pretty crowded and sometimes tough for mountain bikes to squeeze past the hikers. That said, I love the location, the ease of parking and getting right on the trail and the scenery. Elephant Rock isn’t the best reward after a long hike but it’s a great workout.

Decent place to walk a dog or take in views of Bountiful McMansions. The destination is a medium sized boulder with a view of the oil refinery. Also busy. Mountain bikers year round.

Other than the weekend crowds this is a wonderful trail!

Great views, but busy. Don’t go Tuesday mornings around 6am or you’ll run into about 45 high school kids from several local mountain biking clubs on the trail.

Beautiful above elephant rock. Pretty decent amount of elevation gain to get there.

Just came down this trail from the Mueller park side. Nice trail.

Really nice hike. Lots of people and lots of mountain bikers though.

Still a pretty trail. Heavy use though. Don't expect to be alone. 6 cars when we got there 30+ when we left.

Little crowded lots of bikers but boy what a beautiful trail!

Beautiful, easy hike up to the Elephant Rock. Will see many bikers, dogs. gradual incline entire way.

It was a good hike. they are doing work on the trail building a new bridge looking good. A lot of mountain bikes on the trail I found them to be very courteous as were the other hikers I met on the trail.

Good moderate hike with a little climb at the end. Great for a jog

I've done this hike a few times. Offers great views, and I've seen some interesting wildlife as well. I recommend it.

Excellent trail with some good shady spots. But watch out for snakes, I ran into three of them on my last hike.

Nice hike with my kids and pup. No snow yet on the trails.

I hike this trail first every late spring. Good hike to prep your legs for more strenuous hikes and beautiful!. A nice mix of sun and shady areas. Popular trail with nice people along the way.

This is an amazing trail but way over used. Unfortunately it's one of the only trails in these beautiful mountains so you have to share with runners, hikers, family walks, and uphill/downhill mountain bikes. Making it quite crowded most of the time.
I'd love to see Davis County develop this canyon like Corner Canyon.

This is a nice trail, with lots of bikes and no great spots to hang out but the hike itself is nice.

love this trail, lots of shades and real easy, worth getting up to the elephant rock.

Mostly bikers. Lots of off leash dogs.

nice mild hike compared to the others I've taken in Utah, but I'm sure it's a decent bit longer than what the app says, possibly closer to 8 miles round trip, no rigorous switch backs, no really rocky areas (unless you decide to climb the Rock) decent stroll upward at first that levels out, only real issue is all the cyclists, even though they're supposed to yield to hikers, they don't, and the abundance of them is jaw dropping, stopping almost every 20-30 minutes to let a cyclist pass

This is a really fantastic long hike, but I could only make it to the base of the final peak (s). The trail completely peters out in a mess of brambles and burrs. Actually for quite a ways up to this point the trail is almost completely grown over in places. This trail will make you feel raped by nature. I did a full tick check after I got home. I will gladly go back and help clear it, I feel robbed of my final destination and view. Does anyone know who I can contact- who is responsible for this trail?

Five stars at night and during winter. Watch for moose and big cats if you visit during less crowded times. For a more ambitious hike, add Cave Peak by following the pipeline southward at roughly the halfway point.
