Great little hike. Fair bit of snow in some sections — post-holed it through those. Glad I brought spikes/gaiters/poles. After about a mile, no other human tracks on the trail. Did see moose, deer, and lynx (or small mountain lion) tracks along the trail for ¾ mile though. Stunning views from the overlook.

Great trail with great views. First part is UP but as others have said, it levels out to a moderate climb. It was easy to find the cut over to the stack of rocks at the top today because the many footprints visible in the snow. Summit was clear and view was awesome. The trail itself had some snow, a bit of ice and a small area where the overflowing creek, coupled with snowmelt, make the trail it's own. All part of the fun.

Hidden Falls is a very short walk about 2 minutes to the left of the main trail. The waterfall is only trickle this time if year.

The hike is steadily uphill. A nice workout. This would make a quick out and back outdoor adventure for after work. You can easily miss the little side cut off for this trail. A little ways below the lookout area there is a nice rock platform area for meditation, journaling or Yogo. Happy Trails!

Nice "short" but challenging hike! I did this one with my SIberian Husky Kaya :-)

Before continuing on to Dog Lake, the trail will veer off left.

It is not a very well defined "trail" at this point so be prepared for about a mile or so of bushwhacking.

It's well worth the effort as the view gives impressive outlook points of Millcreek Canyon and beyond.

Someone needs to come up here with a machete or an Eagle Scout should do a project to make the last ascent to the summit navigable.

This is a beautiful time to go hiking up Millcreek.

The fall leaves are coming into full bloom and the colors are amazing!

ok for a paved trail with summer homes along the way

Hiked on snowshoes a little higher that the viewpoint. Nice hike

did this hike yesterday. very enjoyable not difficult at all. walk through the creek a little so prepare for that. great view from the top.

Beautiful hike. The trail is overgrown near the top, so make sure you bring pants. I was stung three times walking through the wildflowers.

A lot of fun. The waterfall is only a few feet from the road, then you double back and go to the peak at the end of the trail. My 6 year old had a fairly easy time with it.

Awesome hike, not overgrown and mostly shaded. Will be doing this again

We took the right trail with the stairs and didn’t realize this was NOT the waterfall trail. The waterfall trail is to your left and through some brush. Since we ended up hiking 1.6 miles up the trail, we didn’t have time to actually see the waterfall. I will definitely be back. The trail offered lots of shade, but there were bugs, so bring bug spray!

Great for kids. Anywhere in Utah has great views, so I won’t say it had “decent” views; because that’s just not true. Really mellow incline in elevation. If you continue heading east on the trail, you can extend the hike. Other than that, pretty short and sweet.

Took my eleven year old who hasn’t hiked much and she did awesome. Well groomed trail with plenty of views.

Beautiful scenery

Just finished Neffs Canyon to Thanes Peak with a friend and my dog. The trail was steep and rocky with spots where you will have to walk through the stream. Its a beautiful trail with little snippets of the Salt Lake Valley peaking through the trees and a truly amazing view if you can get to the ridge or peak. It is still quite snowy right after the meadow and can be slippery and soft in places, use caution. We were both in good hiking boots and made it through the snow. we were also able to find and uncover the spring near the top of the trail. it seems we were the first to drink from the ice cold spring this year! A really rewarding and underrated hike but not for the faint of heart!

Did a version of this hike today with my wife and daughter. We did Holly to Mid Mountain and back to Holly for a loop - iPhone showed 15 miles. The Holly trail is unremarkable - mostly a side hill walk with not much shade in an area of low vegetation. Much of this trail is close to roads, lifts, etc.,, The Mid Mountain trail was nice - very different hike in Aspen and Lodgepole Pine forrest. The views from this trail were spectacular. Enjoyed the hike overall. Didn't see that many mountain bikers and the ones we did come across were very polite.

A lot of the trails were for mountain biking and said that we could not continue we went up and back down the far side near the golf course to avoid the section suggested that was mountain biking only. It would have been better if more trails were open as we would have liked to go farther. Also there were lots of trails off the main one and it was some what difficult to find our way. So we missed the turnoff to go further to the top where the super condor express lift goes. But the views were nice and it was a good trail.

The start of the trail is actually on non hiking section as it goes on a mountain bike-only trail, the rest of the trail is great, Holly's crosses all the winter black diamond runs such as Badlands, Black Hole, Super Fury and G-Force. lots of shade. Trail is narrow and is a single track used by bikes too.

Great. Well signed. Watch out for golf balls at the lower section!! Take an extra couple hundred meters and go to the top of Red Pine Lift. Fantastic 360 degree view.

I've skied at the Canyons a couple of times, and its a really nice ski resort. Lots of ski-able area.

I could not ask for a better first skiing experience. The crowds were light and the ski instructor was friendly.
The views and restaurants are great but I didn't realize UT is a dry state so bars are scarce. Great place to lay back and enjoy your vacation.

Plenty of verticle and what I like is how easy it is to hop off I=80, ski all day and get right back on the interstate to continue your journey after a day of skiing.
